Ok my friend broke my valet switch off. so, i hooked the two wires up to a new switch. put the battery back on, and the fuse back in. the alarm went off, which is normal. i turned the key to ON, and flipped the valet switch, and nothing happened. whats wrong????

 

Just a regular old toggle switch.

 

They were soldered inside the old switch, i couldnt really see where they were connected very well. i just have them attached to opposite prongs on the new switch...this is how i figured it went. i haven't tried sticking them together yet. my head is still ringing from the siren. I'll try sticking them together. thanks for the help.
