Batteries and amplifiers
I just hooked up a new 4 channel and was wondering if it was putting a drain on my battery. The other day when i started up my car it didnt start as easy as usual.
By the way I think its the original battery.

what amp is it...... how many amps does it pull........ u should be fine with stock batt.... i ran a ph-d2 witch will pull 200+amps on a stock 85 crx eletrical system...... just upgrade the grounds from your batt and your enigine, and run a bigger gage wire from your alt to your batt......
hope this helps

just making sure (cause i've seen it done), check to make sure when your car is off the amp does in fact turn off (aka your remote wire is proper).
Also try not to power too heavy a system with your car off.

yeah you'll be fine as long as you have a thick enough gage wire lead from the battery. technically if you really want to prevent draining your battery you should buy a capacitor but that'll set you back about 150. so just don't play it when the car is off and you'll be fine.
