Default Amp Installation DC2R

Im looking at putting a 4 channel amp under either the passenger Recaro, or drivers side. Probably leaning towards more the passenger side as it doesn't have the metal bit sticking out that the seat belt sensor connects too, therefore giving me .5" more clearance.

Anyone got any pictures of a similar install? And how well does it fit once someone is in the seat sliding back and forth etc. Anyone also had any overheating issues? Amp type recommendations (do they make slimline ones?.) I will just be running splits and a nothing too spectacular sub off it.

Thanks

If it has an a little over inch of so of clearance, heat shouldn't be much of an issue.

You can also add a little hight, [clearance] by using spacers to raise the back of the seat, giving you more choise in amps.

As mentioned, heat should not be an issue as amp is mounted properly, [flat] a space under amp will also help airflow.94

When doing the install in my Accord I installed the amps under the seats. Not sure how much room you have compared to mine, but I have plenty of clearance.

Both my amps are A/B class so they can get a bit warm but there's ample room in my case for air to move across the sinks and even on the hottest of days they run fine. If they do happen to get too hot I can simply run air to them via the floor vents.

Thanks for the pics...i think i wont have as much clearance as you because under the DC2R drivers recaro is a metal bracket that the seat belt sensor clips onto, and it is about a 1" gap from the bottom of the seat and that bracket.
