Amber Glowing Headunit
Well, part amber, or all amber? If you want partial illumination in Amber, then most Alpines will work. If you want entirely Amber, the only HU MFG's that I know of that make that kind of unit are going to be Denon and Nakamichi. I think there is some kenwood that does like 64 colors too...
First Denon - the only head that does Amber is going to be the R1 with black faceplate- it retails at around $1200. It is one of the better SQ heads around. Copper chassis, machined aluminum face and vol control ****, 24bit DAC's - it's the real deal. Too bad they are extremely limited in supply. RF makes a twin of this CD player too. The R1 also comes in a green illum with an aluminum colored faceplate.
Then there is Nak - the CD400 comes in dual illumination (green and amber). The older 45z (and 35 and 40's) come in either green or amber. If you want an affordable (~300) and almost stock looking head with some good quality - this is your ticket.
