do the newer alpine HU's use the same wiring harness as the old ones did? Or have they been changed in the past few years? Reason is, I have an older alpine HU in my car, one of the old 25x4's and I just bought the 9813. I assume that I will need a new wiring harness but wasnt sure...so whos got the answer?

Different newer models use different harness's, but the style of harness has changed completely within the last 3 years.

there are 2 plugs for alpine radios now.. either a clear or black plug.. go to circuit and ask them what plug yo uneed.. in your case im pretty sre you will need a new plug cause your have an ainet radio and your old radio was an mbus radio

 

the difference resides in the 60X4 radios. They up'ed the size of the wire and pins for constant and ground since the radio requires more power. Other than that, the plugs have been the same for quite some time now.
