Alpine HU know how needed here !
Ok, friends selling his old head unit on E-bay ( or really has already sold ) . The purchaser e-mails him back stating that this is not the one I wanted! My friend had “barrowed” a pic from another seller to post on his bid site. It wasn’t the same model but a couple grades down, the CDA 7840 – my friend had sent him a much better CDA 7845. The buyer had the one complaint that the head unit ( 7840 ) has “M DAC” vs. the ( 7845 ) Regulated 1 Bit DAC. He stated that was the whole reason that he wanted it. I was confused at first, I know the M DAC is the newer Digi – to – Analog converter but didn’t know how much or a difference it would make. BUT when I thought about it his 7845 never could play burned CDs but the next generations could, the next generations that had the M DAC.
Has anyone heard of this before ? it kinda makes sense – just checking if anyone else has run into this
TIA!

I don't really know the answer to that question, but:
It really doesn't matter... The guy has a valid complaint.. Your buddy misrepresented the item.

Technically he shouldn't really be pissed coz he's getting something that's better.
That was kinda false advertising on your buddy's part though, so yeah the buyer does have a legit complaint, better or not.
