Default Alpine 9847 removal

i'm in the process of removing my stereo(alpine 9847), to plug in a audio cable to connect my ipod to it. I need to get to the aux input...i got the lower dash off, and the 2 screws holding the rear part of stereo...any idea on what to do next?

Would help to know what kind of car you're removing it from...

Also, why are you disassembling? Is it ISO mounted? If not, use the keys to release the clips holding the radio in the cage....

Oops except for one that I know of, Alpine does not use "keys", if you remove faceplate and trim you can see the "lock pins" on each side, lift half way up and pull. 94

If he didn't put it in , and doesn't know how to take it out , he shouldn't touch it.

Hmmm... I think someone already said something about that... Oh yeah. It was the first reply to your question...

Look in the box for the radio for the keys. If they didn't give you the box (or the keys), drive back there and tell them that since they didn't give them to you, they are going to pull the deck for free so you can do what you need to do.

Oooopppppsssss my bad. B18_EJ8 is correct the CDA-9847 does use keys, and are included when you get the HU. You can see them on page 30 of owners manual at Alpine tech support, sorry it will not let me link you to it. 94

PS..... If the place that put it in didn't give you the keys, or if you need a set go back to them, if nothing else get them to release it.
