Alarms!!!
It seems like we hear of Integras being stolen just about every day on these message boards. A word of caution. For those of you that have alarms that use the stock horn as a audible warning indicator, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! It is so easy for a thief to simply reach down and pull the wire running to the horn! The car now has no audible warning indicator! To fix this problem, I believe you can re-route the horn so that it is not so easily accessible to thieves. Or you can purchase a secondary horn that is used only for the alarm system. Try to put this somewhere so that it is not so easily accessible. Stay Safe!
sorry man !! from what i know all the alarm is pretty useless !@!
all they have to do is to have two ppl there. one break in ur car ( alarm starting beeping) within 2 secs pop the hood. the other person just have to stand in front of the car, as soon as the hood is open. pull the wires from battery thereforee u have no power for ur car so alarm will not working nemore. please be notice that all this can be done within a min. so even ppl see or hear it would think the car OWNER(which is thief) forget to diable the alarm.
the only way i think is to have a backup battery hide some where in the car. so even if they diable the battery underneth the hood alarm can still be on. a backup battery can be a 12v battery therefore it will be like a size of a CD. i think thiefs would be stupid enough to spend 20mins try to find the backup battery while the alarm is on.
hope this can help our itr owners

You guys should check out the Clifford lineup...I sell it at my shop and it works pretty good for import vehicles.
The Concept 100 is our most popular. I think it is called the Intelliguard 6000 in the US.
Anyway, you get 2 kill circuits..one for the starter and one for ignition or you can kill the fuel pump. Starter kill is great for automatics, but you all know that you can still push start a manual transmission car and drive away.
Also, it comes standard with dual stage shock and glass break sensors.
The optional stuff i would recommend would be the back-up battery siren and if you have expensive wheels get the digital tilt sensor.
If the car is jacked up more than 1 degree for longer than 5 seconds, the alarm is triggered.
Perfect, cuase a normal shock sensor will not pick up on someone jacking up your car.
I have a Viper alarm now, and I am swapping it out for the Clifford because my motor has a few bucks tossed into it.
Just my recommendation.
