Default Alarm Upgrade question...

I have a generic car alarm currently. If I was to buy a name brand alarm, would i be able to install it with fairly little difficulty? Is it a plug-and-play process is actually what i'm trying to find out.

assuming you have the installation booklet for the cheapo, and all the wires are correct, you could just cut the plugs off of the el-cheapo wiring and hook it up to the better name brand, and then figure out any extra wires the better one may or may not have

Alarms are not plug and play, u have to write them all up, the better the alarm the more wires most of the time, go with a good alarm like a cliffort, but don't forget the club and autolocker
