Default Alarm install..help?!

Hey, i just received my Prestige APS-25KB alarm system courtesy of the guys at ups..and now i need to put it in. i can go the DIY route or try and find a reputable place (roch, ny area) to install my system
1) How much down time/install time should i be looking at if i install it myself?
2) On a scale 1-10, how difficult would it be to install being a minimally electrically inclined person? (has starter disable, lock/unlock, shock sensor, etc.)
___
3) How much should i be paying to install a system like this professionally, in a stealthy way?

sorry for the long post but i wanna get as much info before i make any decision yet. i had to jump on this deal cause it seems like a pretty great alarm system for just 50 bux, and if not..hey every little bit of protection helps right? Thanks!

1) How much down time/install time should i be looking at if i install it myself?
-------------------------------------------------
first time? all day, maybe a bit of the next.
after a few installs your time should be around 2hrs. depending on the options you put in.
---------------------------------------------------
2) On a scale 1-10, how difficult would it be to install being a minimally electrically inclined person? (has starter disable, lock/unlock, shock sensor, etc.)
----------------------------------------------------
first time? 7-8.
-----------------------------------------------------

3) How much should i be paying to install a system like this professionally, in a stealthy way?
---------------------------------------------------------------
figure at least 4 hrs labour @ 50 $ / hr , i'd say maybe 200 $ or so.

If you don't know what you are doing, don't do it. Honda only sells complete wiring harnesses. So if you damage just a single part of a harness and you need to replace it you've gotta purchache the whole thing from honda. I'm a professional in car audio and I'm suggesting that you have a pro do it. Jury-rigged alarms cause more problems than they're worth.

research it, double check all your wires before connecting the battery. i was very skeptical at first also, but seeing how those shops rape people, i juss researched it, found a diagram of my car online, it took me 1 day to do my first one
