Default adding CD changer to '96 RL

Hi -

I'd like to add a CD changer to my 1996 Acura RL. I believe that the radio "head" (in dash portion) is the same whether or not there is a CD changer installed.

I know nothing is easy but I think that basically I have to buy a changer and then connect it to the radio with an 8-pin DIN cable. The OEM changer goes in the trunk but maybe I could mount one under the seat? That might save me some cable routing issues.

I would love to buy an Acura/Honda OEM unit off ebay and get the proper mounting brackets, etc. I'm guessing that the DIN interface is fairly standard so the changer would not have to be an official Acura unit. (Although I think I read something about a pin 1/8 reversal.)

If anyone has done this and could give me some tips I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Bob
