Default 99 Accord head unit problems

I tried to install my alpine head unit and everything would light up but no sound would come out of my speakers. I looked in the manual and found that the IC power should be switched to off, so I did that but nothing happened. Did my internal amp die? All I did was take the unit out of my old truck and put it in the accord so i dunno how it could have died.

As a side question... which fuse in the fuse box is for the radio?

Thanks for any help.

Is it not turning on at all, or is it turning on but no sound?

Are you using the HU to power the speakers or are you using off-board amp(s)?

If the HU turns on and there just is no sound, the fuses are good, Alpine HUs will not turn on if either the acc. or constant power fuses are blown. 94

I'm using the HU to power the speakers. The display and everything turns on, just no sound. I made sure the power IC was set to on as well and still no sound.

it can be that somewhere in you car you have a grounded out speaker wire, test each line and see if it is grounding out

Are you using a harness adapter, or is the Alpine hardwired, to the OEM radio harness? 94
