Ok so Im installing a Dbl Din Navi Unit in my 94 GSR. Thing is when I bought the car it didnt have a radio. So heres the problem. Im not sure what im missing but the install kit has nothing to hook to in the dash. Like a bracket on the car is missing or something. Can anyone post a pic of whats supposed to be in the dash when you remove your radio? Thanks for the help in advance. Oh and I bought the Dbl Din Metra kit, but my car is missing something I think.

post pics of your dash. your metra kit should have everything that you need. It snaps right in.

 

ya the faceplate snaps right in but there is nothing to screw the side brackets to in my dash

 

anyone? I know ppl have aftermarket decks

 

You are not missing anything, the stock HU, [and pocket] are not ISO mounted, [screws into side of unit] they are "rear" mounted, pocket is attatched to the HU and HU is mounted to the rear support brace.

This is for a G2 but it's pretty much the same on a G3...

You can use the Metra 99-7801...

to get the ISO mounting but you will still need to install a rear support, easy enough to do with a small metal "L" bracket off the Back of the HU to the stock metal rear support brace. 94
