Default 508D.. dual zone motion sensor

one of those.. are they worth the time and money? are they pretty reliable or just something else to make your car's alarm look cool?

I've installed a couple of those dei sensors and I hate them with a passion. VERY tricky, imo, to get the zones correct. I spent a good hour or two messing with the last one I did.

I will not use the DEI one, if a customer brings one in, the lifetime install warranty we offer does not apply, any proximity sensors, [motion/radar sensors] are a trick to install and get right, but the DEI one is a real cow, not sure why that is, DEI product is normally pretty dependable but the 508D, as mentioned, sucks. 94

I guess it goes both ways, I never have a problem with them. Thou the au is more user friendly. But the dei can be a lil picky to set up. I have them on my cars.
