i was thinking of ten inch comp vrs with a lanzar 1800D to each pair in a sealed box firing forward...

what kind of car?

it will be loud, but honestly you could get do one or two nicer speakers with a nicer amp for the same amount of money, save room, and have better overall sound.

get one JL 13W7 and it will be louder than 4 10's (put a 1000/1 on it - or something bigger... ****, JL is coming out with a 2000/1 this year...)

Before my car was stolen I had four 10" Kicker xpl's in my Si. I had two sealed enclosures, two subs each on either side of the trunk with the subs facing inwards towards each other. I could set a wrench on the floor in front of my seat and make it jump inches into the air with a quick turn of the volume. Fun but not for long w/o earplugs

i can get those, kind of pricey, how do they compare to audax and eminence as mid range drivers, i might use 2 8s or even 4 8s to keep up with the 4 tens...?

i want it punchy, i like bass tight and solid, and sealed tens sound good to me

Heres the tip: You can use the spare tire well to make a sub enclosure that
can hold 4 10" subs. Stealth is the key... Give Richie a call @ Rich's Cartunes.

i'm runnin 2 boston pro 8"s in a ported box and thats plenty for me, but 4 10"s would sound really nice if the box is constructed well and enough power is used.

4 middle of the line 10's will easily out-displace the almighty W7.

i really doubt it, yeah itll beat a 12w7, but the 13w7 is another story.

get 1 15" and two 8" then tune the **** out of em, i dont see why people want so much bass...when you buy a home stereo do you go out and buy 4 subs? no, cause 1 is all you need

I have an enclosure with 3 10's and use it for SQ primarily. 4 would have been harder to fit and less "portable" as I take the enclosure out when autocrossing.

that depends what size room you have too. if you get into the higher end stuff its not uncommon to have multiple subs. martin logan uses 3 drivers in their subs. the new JL's have 2, the wilson has 2 18's.
