I am working on a stealth alarm install currently while my car is wrecked and I just had a quick question. The guide calls for a 3A fuse to be used during the install of the piezo siren.

"Tap into the brown and black/white wires that will be running to the siren under the hood. Put an inline fuse on between the brown wire and the engine bay siren's red wire. That way the thief can't short out your interior siren by cutting your engine bay siren's power wire and grounding it. Use a 3A fuse."

I tried searching the forums here and looked through radio shack's stock at the local store but could not find a 3A inline fuse. Will a 5A work instead? That's what I ended up picking up as it is the closest I could find... Any info would be great.

Re: 3A Fuse? (gsrob)
Any automotive store (autozone, murray's, walmart, meijer) should have an inline fuse holder and 3 amp fuses.

Re: 3A Fuse? (02 accord)
I will have to go into autozone and look again as well. I checked there but they didn't have the holders. They may have had the fuse by itself though, can't remember if I checked for that or not. Will the 5A fuse pose a problem if I use it instead of a 3A just out of curiosity?

5A will work just fine.
