1996 Accord EX remote question

I'm trying to get a new remote for my 1996 Accord EX with Honda factory security system. My spare remote lists an FCC ID of A269ZUA101, but i see some people on Ebay who claim that remotes with FCC ID KOBUTAH2T will work on 1996 models. (Other Ebay-ers list the KOBUTAH2T remote as appropriate for 1998-2002(or so) models.) My local Honda service department guy didn't seem to know (!), and i was hoping one of you could help me out. Thanks!
