100% lost on how to install this headunit...
Im not a audio person (I suck at it) and Im lost on this one. This is a brand new sony head unit going into a 96 Civic CX. Im not sure what to do here, no instructions (unit was given to use) can someone help me out? There must be an easy way to do this.

Buy a harness converter, it clips into the stock harness, then you wire it to the open wires from the head unit.
You will need a pinout diagram for your car's harness.
You should also get a dash install kit for your car.
For the harness:

And for the install kit use the metra dash install kit for your car.

you need a harness to plug into that, and then splice into your deck harness.
i think i have a diagram lieing around here somewhere for the car harness. then you just need to find out what color wires on the deck harness do what.
its really simple. you can either solder the wires or use butt connecters.

Yep buying a harness is the best way. You can cut the stock plug in the car off and wire it up that way but it's a pita if you ever want to go back to stock and can't find that plug to solder back in. You are much much better off just buying the adapter harness as they are cheap anyway.
