Have owned about 9 different civics all of them d-series and all of them were great daily drivers. So much so that I was doing full maintenance rebuilds and ac service and selling them for a nice profit.
A car broker in my area has a integra type R and I mentioned a few times that I wanted an electron blue si. I found on in a Facebook group and the owner posted a few videos of it running and driving and shifting gears. It passed through a few hands and finally to my friend a broker.
Seemed ok, my broker picked it up and it went to one of his body guys. I really wish he would have consulted me about price before hand, basically they replaced the quarter panel with another dented quarter panel and another dented trunk. I can see the curve in the passengers side quarter isn't quite as smooth as is should be
Arriving for work
It recieved about a 80% respray. The rear of the car, the hood, front bumper, lip and front fenders were all repainted. It's a decent paint job but when delivered the trunk fitment was terrible. My broker told me $4400 and after a insurance Institute vin test showing total loss event, and a test drive with a buttery trans we agreed on $4000 cash. These were the first finished photos I saw. The seat frame was severely bent on the drivers seat and the trunk panel fitment was terrible. But the vin on the block and trans all matched and it was a complete car. Bonus is that the car had eibach springs and koni struts
I wasn't a fan of the rear lip, just looked out of place with the spoiler
They used a heat torch to Bend the rear trunk hinges back, talk about doing it half assed. Suprisingly I was able to find electron blue trunk hinges and rear under bumper corners on eBay
The new examples.
Much better with new hinges. Got lucky that they got the rear quarter to very close fitment doing what I assume was just eyeballing the trunk fitment
Sorry this one is a before new trunk hinge picture
