SHG_Felliphe's EG Hatch Build Thread
Wow I just read the whole thread start to finish I have to say this is great build clean simple and reliable! This is how I build my car! I met Dan at the Baltimore IA meet and then was told by a friend that I had met him before when I bought my Coupe in NJ lol! I hope to meet more of the SHG peeps this year! I have a 93 EX Coupe I have been building for over 6 years and finally took it out last year. Keep up the Great work!
Thanks!
It is now

Awesome, glad to be inspiring like that. Just remember it takes a lot of work, these cars have good a bit of age on them!
Wrd!
Thank you! I'm satisfied with how it looks now but there's still much that I'd like to fix/improve.

Haha thanks bro.
Nice, thanks for taking the time. I've seen your coupe, your build is nice too. Def come out to our meets sometime

Updates:
Been doing a little bit of work lately...

On Monday I rerouted my Alpine iPod/iPhone cable from the glovebox to underneath the e-brake handle. So now I don't have an aux cable and charger cluttering things up. The only thing that sucks is that the EG doesn't really have a slot to put things in. Eventually I'll get around to making something.

Removed my bucket so that I can vacuum and adjust the rails since I hadn't been able to line it up quite right. The rails themselves were straight, its the sliders that were locked into different places. So I got both of them to sit at the same spot and then loosened and retightened the side brackets. Now the bucket slides easier because its not under tension like it was before and it sits perfectly straight which means my right leg will be a lot comfier now

I also cleaned the carpet footrest plastic area too (no pics).
Cleaned the dust off the interior and applied Armor All Original.

Fixed the Spoon horn button fitment as well, it wasn't sitting flush agaisnt the wheel and it was loose. I looked up pictures and noticed that there was a ring that held it tight. I couldn't find one for sale though, but then upon looking at my button I realized that I had one! It was there sitting at the bottom, so thats what it was for huh?
Pried it out and put it in place

Now its nice and tight and doesn't spin easily. If I spin it to the right it hits the block and the image sits straight
Finished product! Notice the bucket is sitting a bit more upright, I had to move it up one setting in the rear brackets so that I could tighten the lower nuts for the brackets otherwise there wouldn't be room for the wrench to fit. When I get a change I will set it to the lower hole which is my preferred position and is comfortable. 2 minute deal so no rush, just trying this setting for now since its there anyways.

Bought some Armor All wheel and tire cleaner (stuff works great, brake dust comes right off) and an oil filter.

Cleaned the wheels/tires and had the oil changed at 258,294 miles. I wanted to get a wash in too but it got dark...
I wanted to tighten all the lug nuts and make sure they were torqued good. I had to grab my lock key socket which was inside the tool bag next to the spare tire so I had to remove my subs to gain access. This made me realize that if I needed access to my spare while on the road I would of been in trouble since I don't keep a screwdriver inside the cabin to remove the screws for the wires in the amp so that the amps could be taken out
I also realized that I wouldn't of been able to change my tires if needed because even though I had the lock socket in the car, I didn't have a socket that goes into it or a ratchet for it either for that matter. I also didn't have a socket for the regular Rays lugs in the car or out of the car either because they're extended so it would have to be deep.
Kinda nice that I haven't needed my spare... So I got a 19mm 6 point impact wrench deep socket for the regular lugs which I will drive around with.

I needed a socket for the lock socket too (21mm) so that would of been about $6 and I would of still needed to buy a ratchet to keep in the car so then I ended up getting a 1/2'' drive ratchet+ metric/imperial socket set for $20 instead! Win haha. Plus I could sure use those sockets. I'm always scrambling for random sockets I have
Not anymore lol! Finally I picked up a can of PB blaster while I was at it too.
It didn't come with a 21mm but it did come with a 13/16 socket which works fine (21mm= 0.8267 13/16=0.8125)

Lots of things developing as well in the next few days... Stay tuned.

Yeah it was annoying but at least it wasn't off centered all up on the bolts
Thanks! Yeah, it would also pop out when I took out the wheel and layed it upside down, glad its tight and straight now.
Wrd feel free to post a pic
You can find my updated spec list right here:

By my exhaust I assume you are referring to my axleback. That is a Spoon Sports N1. You can get it new from Hubert @ JDMTunerstore. Email him directly at sales@jdmtunerstore.com
Great guy to deal with! Otherwise you can buy it used if you check the Spoon Classifieds thread, post there and keep your eyes open, they pop up every now and then, its not too rare.

Be sure to get one for your model otherwise the fitment will be off. EG/EK are the same while DC2 is longer and has a longer tip, etc... They have different generations and mine is a Gen. 2. If you go here you will find the post about its differences and photos of the installation.

Wrd. This is my favorite sound clip of it...

Correct. However the DB8 (4dr Integra) application is a direct bolt on to 92-00 Coupes/Sedans.

Yes sir! First meet of the year for me, I'm excited for it.
I don't have any videos yet, I promised them but I have a leak so it doesn't sound right at the moment. Once I fix it I'll get one done. I do have a clip with my stock axleback to compare with too.
Probably because its not under load. Its a smooth toned exhaust, theres no raspiness unless you're running a straight pipe and no cat. Very tamed for street driving though.

haha keep up the good work man
