SHG_Felliphe's EG Hatch Build Thread
Never really thought about changing it. It's fine just the way it is. If it ain't broke don't fix it
Gabe, try using my avatar for the color using the pippette tool. Looks like Tiffany green as is lol. Forever 21 anyone? Haha. Chop is nice though thanks!

But anyways...here is the version using the green from your avatar.
Well that explains why the decals came out a bit greener the banners lol. Looks beter than Tiffany green though.
Yeah I meant eye dropper. A pippette is he same thing though, just longer tube.

Update:
Hey everyone, just checking in. Back from a long hiatus. The build has been on pause this semester and will be for a few more weeks. As some of you know I'll be going back to my home country (Brazil) for almost a month. I came here to the US in 2000 and 11 years later I'm finally going back to visit. It will give me some time to relax, have fun and escape winter haha.
The plan is to rebuild my suspension when I come back. From the looks of it I will start getting parts once I'm back and then bang it out on spring break. I've been looking for a daily but the market is lacking reasonable deals. I might just skip it for now and continue to daily it. I'll be skipping a good portion of winter anyways.
I'll do my best to check out the Honda scene there and take pictures of the scenery (and sucias
).
Finals are over a week early so next week I will be done. I'll either be working some long hours or working on the EG before I leave so good either way.
SoHonda Garage. now has a Facebook page so check it out and hit the like button to subscribe!

I've done a couple of things since the last update but nothing too serious. I'll throw a real update before I leave but for now I'll leave you guys with this, you can see the rest at the SHG_Blog if you'd like.

Missing more than 1! Thats only a small part of the wolfpack, we're going to get the whole crew together this spring as I'm sure you know so don't worry homie!
Never man thanks!
Awesome man thanks for taking the time, the good is yet to come!
Updates:
Had to spend a little dough on some things I needed like some running shoes for work (Nike Free Runs), a new mattress setup (females inquire within) and an iPhone 4s (SHG rocks iPhones) so you might see a few phone pics here and there but they are pretty good quality
Also spent some time going out, bowling with friends a few times, karting 2 diff times and a bunch of other things and just took a step back from the car thing for a minute to clear my mind.

The real update:
I got around to applying my Spoon shift **** sticker not too long ago. The old one was glued with super glue and its not the best bonding product for this type of application. It will come off sooner or later and I think its because its too stiff and over time it gets stress cracks from use and being dried out it helps it break off.
I used clear silicone per Dan's suggestion and it worked perfect. It has a few key characteristics that are suited for this including being water resistant. You can apply it, push down the sticker and just wipe off any excess glue with your fingers and not worry because it takes 16hrs to cure unlike super glue that will cure really quick and then the next thing you know your fingers are all stuck together and all over the sides of the **** and the sticker crooked haha. Save yourself the hassle and get clear silicone!

Started out as this

I used rubbing alcohol to remove the super glue and cleaned up the surface.
Applied the silicone

Done

I placed the sticker so that the allen screw would be out of sight from the drivers seat and its neat to have a little hole back there to play with my pinky

Details details details
SHG_Mike hooked me up with his lanyard, good looks homie!

This came in from Japan as well, $15 shipped say wrd!

Sister gave me a tripod and its actually pretty decent and very portable so I should be able to do some nice exposure shots with this. Also has a lightbulb extension if I need some better lighting or I can take it out and not have to carry the cord.

This past Sunday I drove an hour to CT to meet up with a fellow friend (Shawn) who also drove an hour and I picked up a few goodies from him.
Autozone axles that were driven 15 miles before his motor blew so pretty much new. Got these for $30 so I can't complain and mine are clicking so it will be nice to replace them and keep my current ones as spares for track days and such.

Also got his full power steering setup including pump, belt, hardware, brackets, lines, hoses and reservoir. Some of this stuff I already have on my car so that will make it easier.

I've always wanted to have P/S even though not having it never really bothered me much besides parking in tight spots so if I don't like how it feels I'll just take it out. We'll see. Will def clean everything up before it goes in though. A small little project to tackle.
I also adjusted the seat and its back to the position that I really liked. Much more comfortable and not too low. Just perfect really. Wish I would of done it sooner.
I'm sure I'm missing some things but this should be good for now. Here are some random pictures I haven't posted here.

Height is off due to being on a hill btw.

Relocated my fast lane pass under the banner so that its out of sight. I did this quite a while ago but never posted it. Also a good pic to show the view of the Broadway.

Let the homie Jesse try out the Spoon wheel and so I tried his Mugen race 2 and we went for a little cruise. He fell in love with the Spoon haha.

That sums it up for now, work on the wing will begin this weekend and finals are all over for me so I'll be working hard for the next couple of weeks and then its vacation time

Awesome man thanks for taking the time, the good is yet to come!

Yup, only better and better. I have big plans.
Update:
I knew I was forgetting a few things and here they are.
I got me some new Bosch Icon wiper blades (22'' and 18'' for reference) and they work great. The arm sits a little higher now which looks a little weird from inside but its not a huge deal.
You can see what I mean here:

SHG_Chiquita's fit and the EG.

I had gone over to pick this up, thanks again Mike!

Also theres more SPOON on the way. Should be here tomorrow
I've tried driving in the rain without using them and you can get away with it at higher speeds but city driving without them can get pretty bad. Then I use the wipers and its like yeahhh MUCH better. I could never toss them out. So far I've always been driving in the snow too for that its impossible to drive without them. Maybe I'll take them off and keep it in the trunk during the summer and if I need to I can throw them on real quick but its still my daily for now and I'd rather have them than not
Thanks, there will be some sweet updates this week hopefully.
Update:
This came in, what could it be?

Spoon horn button

Heres the story to anyone that missed it/new subscribers:
My friend Hubert shipped me the wheel to try out since I had been contemplating getting one but wasn't sure if it was worth the extra loot for pretty much a button and red stitching over a regular Monte Carlo. I kept it for 2 months and then I asked if he was willing to sell it and he said sure. The wheel had no button because it was sold to Cooper since he wanted to buy it. So I kept the wheel and since it had no button Cooper gifted me a china made graphic on a momo button which he was going to use before he managed to get the authentic button. I didn't mind and I just needed a button to use and to cover the hole. Meanwhile I kept waiting for an authentic button to pop up and it took a while but finally did and I jumped on it. I got the wheel for a great price and the horn button for a good price so that worked out alright.
Heres the differences between both buttons. Authentic on left side.

So now I have a few of the key Spoon items that I really wanted (wheel, ****, spoiler, exhaust) so it will be a while before I get more stuff as I have the suspension to do soon.
My inspection needs to be done but I still haven't gotten around hooking up my horn which is the only thing it needs to be able to pass and I'll be doing that very soon. Till the next update!
