SHG_Felliphe's EG Hatch Build Thread
Wrd!

lol
Thanks Gabe, thats nice to hear. Comments like that just make me want to keep the build going.
Hows your hatch? Fresh motor, fresh paint and fresh suspension. Must be nice!
haha do et!
That much better? lol I never thought the Sis looked bad, just not that good. Everyone is saying the same!
I'm just glad to switch it up, those wheels have been on there for way too long. The only other set I ever rocked was OEM 14'' with gun metal hubcaps.

lol

I never cared for SI's as wheels, they are what stock cars roll on til you get other wheels. Which is how you did it. THey look good regardless of whether they are Konig or Volk. Nice pickup on the lugs too.
Yup! Same way I look at it. No wonder why everyone would say " you need wheels" haha. Sis don't count lolz.
The Rays lugnuts are pretty nice, no bling bling, just light, strong and simple. I def like them a lot.

I am going to start my own build thread for my Si also. I hope you will chck it out. I am happy to see you aren't losing the love for your car. Keep it up!
Real enthusiast don't lose love for what we do.

Its a lifestyle not just some some hobby we pick up and lose like most bandwagon riders
Its like the first time I drove it day after day

You got that right!
Update:
SHG decals are in!

And so is my new 270mm tinted convex Broadway mirror!

My other 270mm flat non tinted Broadway mirror is the same size but I've been wanting to check out the convex version and the tint so I got that.
Haven't driven it yet with it but first impressions after throwing it on is that I can now easily see out of the rear 1/4 glass
The downside with the convex is that while they cover more area, objects seem much farther away. I hope I can still see cops
Oh and one more for the kids

More updates soon...

Sweet! Were more than likely going to run a convex broadway in the DC5
One downside to the convex is there will be alot more headlight reflection at night, but a flip of the mirror and it shouldnt be so much an issue

Really? Thats why I got the tinted version, hopefully does the trick!
Sure. The flat version is very crisp. You can see things with great detail. Also with the 270mm I was able to use my visors without issue. Only slightly touched it (drivers and passenger) so that was my reason not to go any bigger. It didn't cover the 1/4 glass though so that left room for blind spots still.
Stock mirrors are made by polishing a cheap reflective material so thats why they have double vision. When I push the night vision button its all dark and I can only see the lights behind me.
The Broadway is of great quality and doesn't have double vision so when I flick the night vision button there is no reflection whatsoever and the mirror becomes completely dark so any annoying eBay HID kit equipped cars behind you are blocked off 100%.
It makes switching lanes much easier and you are always aware of whats going on behind you.
The blue tint is supposed to help with night glare and thats mostly the reason why I got it. With the Convex the passenger visor hits it so it might be a slight inconvenience but with the banner its not even needed most of the time.

I hated the Wink at first but got used to it.
I love my Broadway, but the Wink helps out a lot because I deleted my passenger mirror.
Half o our customers use wink in their race cars and half use longacre convex. You can see at least 30% more of the passenger side with the convex. The wink barely gives visibility past the rear c pillar, at least in our cars. They are also always coming loose and flopping down -__-
Maybe it's just because I have to deal with them every day and the POS Miatas they're in that or developed such a hatred towards them lol

This morning on my way to work...I was pondering your comments about the lack of vision with the Wink...but as I peered deep into the reflections during my daily commute...I couldn't help but think...man...this is great...I can see tons of action behind me...just by moving my eyeballz.

Ha i guess we stuck a nerve. If you all love it keep rocking it.
In the small miata race cars convex mirrors provided MUCH better vision and were of much better quality. I hated how the rear image was broken up and not smooth with the wink.

I hate the Miata in general. The entire windshield is in the freakin' way. Every Miata I've been behind the wheel of...it's almost impossible for me to see. My eyeline seems to be right in line with the top of the windshield and or sunvisors.
