SHG_Felliphe's EG Hatch Build Thread
Not sure. I'm gonna go over there and talk to them personally. If you seen the bubble you'd die laughing like ridiculous ain't the word. Think this guy just wanted to get my grandfather out the door. Which is a big mistake cause he pays CASH.
Where is the bubble? and whats the cause of it? Is it just a bubble in the clear coat? If its the base that bubbled up its probably surface rust under the paint in which case they have to take it down to bear metal, feather it out, treat it, fill it, and respray the whole panel
Its under the paint, but what this guy explain to my grandfather was they had to cut a big chunk of the quarter out and put a new piece in. Which is completely unnecessary if you seen it. If I go by his house later ill take a pick.
Anyone can pay in cash, its not some luxury item.

Mike hook me up with the full resolution versions!

Update:
So last weekend was the SHG Oktoberfest meet and a great time as usual.
Before leaving I threw on the Spoon wing and changed the oil with Mobil 1 synthetic. Then I linked up with fellow SHG member Nick aka Beans with his EK and we drove down.
Washed up the whips once I arrived in NY and we applied the banner on Beans EK later at night too

The next morning we all met up at Riley's place for a detail sesh before heading to the meet

Also did the banner on Connor's Canadian Sir

Excuse the iPod pics...

Some of the coverage from the meet can be found here
On the way back home I threw on the silencer but I didn't have the allen key and it was only hand tight. Hit a massive bump on the highway and it got spit out
oh well! When I got home I noticed the trunk cover came off the track too haha, never hit a bump that hard
Threw on the Circuit Hero shift **** for the mean time since the sticker fell out of the Spoon ****. I'm actually glad it happened, now I can throw on my fresh sticker

Also installed the NRG setup after I received the momo horn ring.

Finally had the time to get my wheels mounted. I got a crackhead deal on them and couldn't pass it up. They are Bean's old wheels and since I needed another set of wheels, it was a no brainer. So the Si wheels can now can get winter rubber on them =]
They are Konig Heliums in 15x6.5'' +40 offset. Pretty light too, only about 10lbs each vs the Sis which weight about 15lbs. Total of 20lbs lost in unsprung weight ftw! Here they are:

Got a file at Lowes and some simple green too

After:

One last shot with the Sis....

Since aftermarket wheels use a 60* taper, OEM lug nuts cannot be used. I ended up getting a set of extended Rays Duraluminum locking nuts from my buddy Justin over at JMCFab.com
They are pretty mint, only used about 15 times or so and retail for $200 and I got them for $100
They are very light as well and the good thing about the locks is that they are pretty much invisible so you can only tell which has the lock by feeling it which is good since it doesn't take away from the looks of them.

My man Evan came through once again and unmounted the S.Drives from the Sis and mounted them onto the Konigs. Always lending a hand, thats whats up!!

We had them rotated as well and because they are directional it went as follows: front left > rear left and front right > rear right.

Evan took a few shots too

Now I know everyone may not like the wheel choice but honestly it doesn't really matter as long as I'm happy with them. I'll definitely get a nicer set of wheels in the future so these will do me fine for now
I love those wheels on your car so much dude. The pictures dont even do it justice. The look is just breathtaking in person. I hope you NEVER get rid of these things
The silver looks really good in person.... I wouldnt mind seeing them in bronze too
The thing with bronze imo is it only looks good when its anodized, and unless you have the wheels stripped and re-machine the faces it wont look as good as it could

Yeah man, its odd because lately I've been feeling the same way that I did when I brought it out of storage. When it was just sitting in my driveway unregistered for the longest time and just deciding what I wanted to do with it now that I finally had the long sought after EG. I wanted a new steering wheel and wheels and now it finally has those items like I originally planned.
Feels nostalgic

As much as it has improved, I also had setbacks and I can't wait to get them out of the way. Its just awesome that my car is so enjoyable now. It feels very different to me, it has new character now with the more aggressive look, sound and handling responsiveness.
At the same time its like I haven't even started the build yet, there is still such an immense amount of work that needs to be done.

Spoon wheels would follow the theme of all the stuff I've been getting lately haha. Would love some of those too...
I love bronze on black personally, I think it works great. On these wheels either or are fine but I would stick to the current color if I had to choose.
Appreciate the support Slips!
