Then they're the perfect place for you to go, you will be very pleased.

PM'd ya the info. Feel free to ask questions, I've given this info out to so many people that I'm lazy to type it all over again. Plain and simple they are very professional and do great bodywork for an awesome price.

Welp! This build threads been dead lol. Let me get you guys up to speed. Lots of pictures, might wanna give it a sec to load

Heres some more pictures of the test fit. The wheels were sold but I'll get something nice in the future don't worry!

The ride was pretty dirty back then, hadn't washed it in some time with school taking up my time and the weather not helping.

Spent that day bullshitting while installing some Function and Form coilovers on the homies ride. Big improvement from the Omni powers.

Filthy!!

Bought a new hose and gave her a very soft wash to avoid scratches. Takes time to keep cleaning small areas at a time between washing the mitt and getting soap on the car again but thats the only way I do it. Worth it in the long run.

Barely washed and pollens already falling

Threw on the mudguards back in and noticed theres a nail in my tire, if you guys remember I mentioned a while back that it seemed to be leaking some air and I was going to keep an eye on it and well, this is why lol. Gotta get it out and plug it sometime.

Vacuumed the interior too.

Park on grass= act slammed haha. Dont mind my friend looking fruity in the back lol!

Hosed the pollen down a few days ago.

I went to the junkyard to look at what they had and theres lots of good stuff there so I plan on going back to get some things.

My headlight brightness switch has been crapping out for a while now, lots of times it will go fully dim and I need to move the wheel up and down a bit to keep it from flickering. Its a bad contact but I just went ahead and got another one, it was mint and scrolls nice and tight hehe.

Got a grip of fuses/cluster bulbs/ bulb switches. As well as some practice in removing the cluster bezel, takes patience! Also some spare needles too. Went to Home Depot and got red marking paint and picked up a brush from a craft store.

Masked them off and tried brushing it on but it was just extremely hard to brush on without having imperfections so I sprayed it really quick from like 15 inches away and that was pretty perfect.

HubesEG6 was nice enough to let me try out his Spoon steering wheel for a while. I just paid shipping and used my old hub from when I got my car with an aftermarket steering wheel. Very nice of him to trust a stranger with something of that value.

The homie EasyE hooked me up with Momo bolts for the wheel too.

I sold my winter set of wheels and tires for $100 which isnt bad considering what I paid for it and the fact that they were almost bald and without hubcaps.

So something came in, what could it be?

Used that money to get buy some mats that I've wanted foreverrr. Got them for a good deal so I couldn't pass it up.

Love the lettering they used for the 5th gen Civics.

I went to park and there was a parking curb stop way ahead of the pavement and I didn't see it and it just trashed my lip lol. I was just rollling forward and it ate the lip haha. Just sorta pulled it off and made a 2in gap.

Its been needing to get repainted so it was the perfect time to get that taken care of. The lip was trashed like this when I got my car and then I painted it once I moved and it was painted again along with the car and now its gonna be the 3rd time

I only sanded it lightly the first time I did it but now I'll try and do a better job.

Found a nice place to hang it for pics haha.

I have also found someone that is willing to make a trade for my old hood. The one with the vents. He will be trading me a custom J's Racing style intake made out of CF and a set of CF brake ducts too!

Still in progress.

I have also been working on taking some measurements and planning some things out so that I can put my bucket seat back in while getting the seatbelt through the harness slots to keep my lap tight. It would be safer that way but if not, the lap belt isn't too far, my bucket has low sides. Pics of that later.

Best update so far dude! Mats are sick, intake and ducts are even sicker! That brake duct is boss, I like how it doesnt wrap over the bumper and is just neatly tucked into the vent area

Im gonna be at the shop today chillen. Rolling a dudes fenders and working on the Evo a bit. If you wanna stop by and try getting that bolt out of the seat feel free

Once I get my bucket in, it will resemble your old interior a lot from a quick glance. Mats+bucket+spoon wheel=

I like a little lip on the intake ducts myself which looks better like these for example. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5052/...27a07592_o.jpg
but they have a bit more drag than the ones I'm getting. Mine are made for 100% function and you can't hate on that. Afterall, form follows function

What time will you be there? I don't mind helping with the Evo if you need. I'll def stop by, honestly thats part of the reason why I want the bucket in, just so that I get that bolt taken care of. Driving around with 3 bolts is kinda

Well they're not J's ducts, those extend out to the bumper.

I do plan on using ducts though, for the brakes. I would prefer some fogs but I can always switch it. Its an old bumper so I don't mind cutting the vents.

Update:

Spent the day hanging out with EasyE and he was able to drill out my stripped bolt from the seat and also retapped it. That could of turned out way worse!

Threw the bucket seat back as well. I will have the belts go through the slots but for now its just on there like before for the time being.

Parking hard as hell right now!!

Driving with a bucket seat and Spoon steering wheel is pretty cool. You just become more confident in the car's handling. They say the seat is how you feel the rear of the car and the steering wheel has the feel for the front. It allows you to focus more on driving instead of being tossed left and right which is a bonus. Saving some good weight is also a plus.

Eventually I'd like to have some folding Recaros instead of bucket seats but I am enjoying this for now. It will come in handy for Auto-x and track days next year when I'm doing better financially.

Personally I think its comfier than my stock seat, I mean heck, when I pulled into my garage I started dozing off for a minute I realize it won't suit everyone's taste which is fine by me. I want to build a car that just about anyone can like but there are always a few sacrifices here and there but I'm building it for myself above all but do know this won't be a permanent look.

Floormats look great

I wouldnt bother trying to repair that lip seeing as you have painted it, get a freshie from honda in the oem abs finish, looks heap better, and will have intact mounting holes and brand new oem hardware

They are cheap as (~75 bucks here)

Yeah odzy, glad you like it. The seat is a Cobra Imola 2

Next is prob axles. I have 1 more month of insurance so I gotta renew that so dunno when I'll be able to get new parts. Trying to get a job

I'll prob be doing my cluster next and fixing my audio system. I have no front speakers because the grounds are bad somehow and don't work and my sub isn't grounding right either.

Appreciate it Alex, I have no option really, I'm broke otherwise I would. They are about 75-100 here. Depends if you get hardware or not.

When is your birthday Clauds? I feel like I want to get you a new lip just so the car is looking proper again

BTW.... Hardparking is building a car, throwing tons of money into it and ONLY taking it to meets and the occasional drive around town, but dont go too far - cause its probably so low that you cant clear the entrance to the mall, kfc, or the dunks! lol

I am guilty of being a hardparker with my old EG. The last year I owned it I stopped DD'ing it and I just started losing intrest. I promised myself after that my EP would always be a daily driver ( except for winter of course ) I just get so much more enjoyment from a car when Im using it everyday. Theres just a connection there that goes away when the car sits in the garage all the time.

I'm glad my birthday is far away (Feb), I wouldn't want you to do that, you already do plenty for my car! My car needs more than just a lip to look proper again (smh!)

Yeah thats a pretty good definition. Some people like that, having a car just to go to meets and get street cred or mag status but it is what it is. I think its pretty pointless to build a car thats barely driveable, waste of money. I can understand not wanting to road race and potentially damage it but at the very least drive it around often. I'm not saying take it to work everyday bc thats just not feasible for everyone due to many reasons (theft, getting dinged doors, weather damage) but it def shouldn't sit around. Thats no life for a car. Much like museum cars. I look at museum cars to be "retired" and have done their work such as Senna's old Mclarens for example, but not a mint car that was simply kept immaculate for many years. Those cars should be driven, even if only sometimes.

At times my car felt/feels like a heap but I still enjoy/enjoyed driving it almost everyday. I too am trying to keep this fully streetable. I'm glad you're not going all out and keeping it streetable, thats the best way to get the max enjoyment out of the car IMO. Seconds lost at the track are hours gained in the street!

I'll probably retire its daily driving duties at one point in favor of a beater or something else. I'll drive it everytime I can that doesn't pose a risk. Even right now, there are a lot of things I don't do or avoid if possible.

I cringe when I have to go to Boston because people drive like maniacs or going to Worcester for a club and leaving it outside or leaving it in some parking lot when I was working. There are just some places where the factors are there for it to happen so avoiding it if possible is best.

Driving it to places where I can keep an eye on it or be quick are all fine and thats where it will be used the most in the street.

I'm building it for best of both worlds so it will be driven to meets to kick it with friends and have a good time while cruising on a nice sunny day, driving it around town enjoying some good music multiple times a week and finally driven to the limit at the auto-x or circuit and the often drag strip run!

All the above is true but having a 13sec daily is quite orgasmic at times

Especially with the ********* on the roads nowadays

Yeah I can see the threat of theft making it difficult to daily a car. Luckily I have never had to worry about theft in the places I lived. My not dailying the old EG (or driving it in the rain for that matter) was simply because I wanted to preserve the cleanliness and no other reason.
