I see, thats still good, moving forward in life should be the first priority and then the ride. Focus on getting ahead, thats the only way that anyone will be able to buy more and more parts quicker and quicker

So this is where I had started at:

Fully stripped and sanded to 1000 grit:

Fully prepped:

Paint used:

I applied petroleum jelly on the H logo and letters so that I can easily get it out. Works better than taping it and is very easy to remove.

Primered:

Painted black:

Cleared:

Unfortunately I messed it up so I stripped it again. I'll work on it tomorrow for sure. It had came out pretty good too. Just needed more coats of clear.

I hit a raised manhole about 3 weeks ago and it hit my header and caused the gasket to break so I have a 3 inch leak on my header. It sounds pretty bad and I'm loosing power. The bolts are seized so replacing the gasket wasn't doable so I just said the hell with this header and got me another one Plus even after I had polished it there was still rust there.

The new one is pretty nice, the welds are really high quality for an eBay header. Its the same header but the construction has been improved. The hardware is better and for $50 bucks I'm really pleased.

I also got me some 1/2'' heat shrink tubing and 5/8th sleeving to start doing my harness and to help clean the bay. It was under $30 shipped too, not bad I just need a heat gun to get started. Thanks to dapek for the idea. Good **** homie!

More updates tomorrow since I have pictures on another camera.

Yeah, the welds are clean and it looks nice. Think you could help me throw it on? I tried to do it but the bolt that holds it to the cat wouldn't come off. It spins inside the whole but it won't loosen up. I'm not sure but it looks like the nut its either rusted or welded??? Might need some power tools

Really? I'll have to compare it. I know the 4-2 is the same size but its possible the 2-1 section isn't the right size. It looks about right though. Thanks for the heads up.

I went to the junkyard and I looked at some EG8 and I found out that there is no harness for the cruise control buttons. Its part of the clockspring that has a plug that goes into it. So I don't have a cruise clockspring. I need to sell this and get me that one! I'll be back next week to pick it up

Earlier this week I decided to clean up my supplies and whatnot and its getting there I just have a box full of stuff that needs to be sorted but this box here is all good.

Paint, detailing, degreasers/cleaners, lubricating oils, paint strippers/brakefluid.

Last week I went to the junkyard and picked up a clip to hold the windshield washer fluid hose for the hood that I was missing and also got this hose with the nozzle at the end. Now when I spray washer fluid in the rear it doesn't keep dripping after

Before:

After:

I also picked a set of these:

Red suede looks real nice in there. Too bad I can't keep it since I have speakers and those covers are for EGs without speakers. Up for sale if anyone wants em, I'll sell it cheap

It rained all day so I just chilled and worked on my ground cable. Too bad I couldn't find a heat gun locally so I used a lighter. Did the trick but I'll get a heat gun for the next time. It came out decent though.

Started like this:

Then I straightened it out:

Heat shrink tubed it, it could of been tighter but I didn't want to burn it:

Sleeved it and added a piece of tubing on each end, once again, not real tight either:

Final result:

Not bad IMO! I'll re do it when I get better at it. That's it for this week folks

so what are you thinking now......B16 - - B18 - - turbo.
what ya gonna do mate.....

i'm gonna follow you with this build though as you seem to be on the same wave length when it comes to mods.
I will be adding parts to my EG also so watch this space.

What up man yeah Im glad I don't have to rock that hood anymore.

Motor wise Im leaving that for last. B16A is nice but I wouldn't get that unless I got 1 super cheap. I like my motor, it has pickup. It lacks torque but other than that I'm satisfied with the top end for now.

B18b is nice but it's not worth me swapping a good running motor to gain 20 hp or less and loose VTEC. Plus Id need to do a tuneup on it. Not worth it.

B18c1 would be nice and a B18c/ B18c5 would be just awesome.

I would def like to go K series a well an. I'd rather skip the B series so that I can get the nicest K20 setup.

Realistically the first thing I'm going to do is probably boost my z6. That's a real cost effective setup that puts out really good numbers. Either that or a B18C1 at least. It would be a good learning experience to put together my own turbo setup.

Thi isn't a decision Im looking to do lol.

Money is the name of the game.

Oh that's sick man. Doing big things that's what's up. Is your motor JDM? Try to sell it locally, Im sure there are a lot of cats looking for one in NY. They are all around but people pay for a clean motor like yours.
