Gee, I haven't been here for a bit! I've been busy working at my new job. Pretty fun so far, I get to drive a lot of brand new cars and trucks. I take a lot of cars to get detailed and the dudes there are pretty chill. They let me use their little shop so I went ahead and vacuumed my car after work and used some stuff on the dash, door panels and every plastic trim in the interior. Looks real nice.

I'm hoping that I can do my brakes at my job as well but I need to get to know the service guys a bit better.

My cluster now has a dim spot, a bulb or two went out and considering how my climate control has no lights besides the buttons I think its coming the time to go all amber

Well yeah, all trims have the same ones. I personally have no real issue with them besides the size, they hold pretty decently but they won't take anything too big. Barely holds a small dunkin donuts cup. I plan on modding them!

I love that granada black the car is absolutely gorgeous. With the coilovers on does the car bounce firmly when going over bridges?

Its hard to explain into words how the car reacts. It depends on the bridge, drop or rise. Generally the car will go down and right back up. Instead of down, up, down a little and up and finally back to rest.

Car looks awesome as/is. I'd be content with leaving it just like that but adding a few small things to the interior... (like an optional audio console).

If I were you though I'd spray those side skirts with some flat or satin black. They're looking a little haggard compared to the shiny paint in the pictures.

^ I disagree. Once you start doing that for the skirts, you'll look at your mudflaps and say "now those don't match", then it's the side mouldings, then it's .... you get the idea. If it wasn't painted from the factory, don't paint it (with the exception of side mirrors and door handles). Rock chips will probably tear it up in no time and it will look seriously haggard.

Yeah I agree, car looks good as is, just needs to run as good as it looks for now. Everything could use additions, I cant get a center console when I have no brakes lol get the point? Id love a nice center console but oh well, I can live without it for now. With my new job I'll be able to start getting more parts for it.

As for the side skirts, they were actually painted when I got my car painted! Theyre just dirty thats all. Skirts, moldings, bumper grill/vents and spoiler were all painted trim color. Mudguards weren't because I got them new not even a year ago so they didn't need it.

Black cars are a bitch to keep clean

For real man, haven't had time to even sit down this week. I have a memory card full of updates. My video card is crapping out on my computer and it takes too many tries to load up and patience is just not something I had plenty of this week. I'll update it soon!

Ahhh my build thread....

Sorry Ive been MIA. Just been so busy with the new job and the summer heat just drains my energy. Well, my car was hit like 2 weeks ago =(

I got pictures and updates that I need to put up. My computer hasnt been working so I havent been on at all.

The car is drivable, but its just a nasty dent on the passenger side. I was parked and a F150 wasn't in park and it rolled down and hit my car. I got an estimate to get it fixed by my painter and its $1750. Im trying to get them to pay for it, lets see how that goes. Ill tell you guys the full story tomorrow after work and what not.

Im still making it to IA but it won't be fixed in time =( It really sucks, I payed all this money because I wanted my car looking right and then this happens and now I have to hear **** like my car isnt even worth that and its like yeah right buddy. Its irrelevant anyways, the damage cost that much to fix, regardless of weather the car is worth that much or not. I personally value my car somewhere around $5,500 but Ill just have to argue with the insurance company if it comes down to it. I dont have collision so I need to sort it out with them.

I have lots of good stuff to put up though! :bang:

Dang man sorry to hear about that! When my door got hit on my last car, I just purchased a door that a local guy was selling on craigslist for $100 and prepped it for paint, then had it repainted. Total cost was $300 so I didn't mind too much
