Rosta's CD build
starting one a little late as a lot of work has already been done, but there is also far more to be done in the future.
This car was my first car, and wasnt really sure what I wanted to do with it, although over time I spent more and more time at the drag strip and decided that was the route I wanted to go with it.
Here is a pic from the day I got her.
The previous owner had done some small mods, rims, intake, and upgraded the stereo system.
Heres what the engine bay looked like when I got her
the F22 wouldnt be staying in there for long however.
in the process of taking out the previous owners subs
The H22a4 I picked up to put in
As you can see the motor was in pretty rough(turns out to be rougher than I expected).
the M2B4 LSD tranny I got with Exedy clutch and fidanza flywheel. and what M2B4 wouldnt be complete without 5th gear grind.
after some cleaning and bolt ons the motor was ready to go in
the bolt ons included:
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Skunk2 68mm Throttle Body
Megan Racing header
Accel wires
NGK plugs
Hondata S200
process of the swap
H22 in
On the dyno it made 191whp

The next big step in my build was paint, my friend was attending Baran institute of technology for autobody and he said he could paint my car if i wanted to, it was a last minute thing and had a week to decide on a color and get all the money and such together. so I decided on Fiji Blue Pearl.
the paint came out pretty good, however they werent not able to do the engine bay or interior which was a bit disappointing
after paint
here is a pic of it on the dyno after paint
I next decided I was going to paint the interior myself, which was a good 2 or 3 day project if you havent done it before, and I didnt even take the dash out. Its not perfect as I just rattle canned it, but its better than maroon.
in the process of stripping it
after it was done
next i decided to get a roll bar and ordered a autopower one
here it is mocked up, not bolted in yet
after it was bolted in
as she looks today
The H22 decided it was going to be a POS however. It appears as though the car it was in was either in an accident or the motor was dropped, as a piece of the block was actually chipped off, which would take quite a bit of force to do.
It also decided it was going to burn quart after quart of oil. I ran compression test, they werent great, but they werent bad enough to justify the amount of oil that was being burned. I decided I had had enough with this motor, and decided to do a motor build.
so i picked up this
This is how it sits to date, piecing together parts for the motor build over the winter, and hopefully have it ready to go this summer. I am building it for N/A with hopes of 300whp(probably wont achieve this, but its a good goal).
