Default Nucks finally is doing a build thread

Okay, so I've been on here for what seems like forever. And now I feel it's finally time for my build thread. Some of the picks are pretty old. It's not going to be the fastest thread in the world, but it will be done in a timely manner. My goal is to be finished by Spring '09 so I can leave the DA alone for a while and focus on more important things buying a house!!! So here we go.

First a lil time line to bring you up to speed with ma ka:
Got it 3yrs ago it was Palmy Blue with GSR blades lowered on Civic springs and a 5 zigen exhaust. Everything else stock (sorry no pics)

My baby got violated at a bar one night so I had to swap owt my driver windshield then decided to flat black it.

After that I got my JDM front end from jdmimportsdirect for 150 bux. (bumper, support, fenders and sidemarkers) Great deal!!!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2889455396/Picked up the GT3's and was liking the new look for a while.
Then I got hit at supercross DAMN 4X4 pick ups FTL
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2888628917/
So I felt it was time for another change and sold the GT3's and got some webs

Got hit at wurk and lost my bumper And of course the guy didn't have insurance so I was focked. Now I got a certashit bumper on
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2888624221/
Heater core went out so then I knew it was time to wurk, so I finally started doing it:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2397793676/Pulled my A/C while I was at it cause everyone knows that even though we get like 15 hot days out of the WHOLE year, it's still not hot enough to really need A/C in the Northwest.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2397796022/picked up some new stopping power and did that as well, while I was doing that found this:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2889432306/glad I only worked 8 mins away from home.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2397794472/Why must they make you take the WHOLE dash owt for the heater core!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2397795196/My bibles to live by!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2889432732/Dash owt, new heater core in.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2396963371/The only plastics I have left in my car that aren't black yet. I gotta get some of that interior paint.

Got a new job as a tech at Honda and came up on a Y7 with a rod knock so I took it home.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2888623849/Did some reasearch and found owt that Honda in Japan made the Rxi and Zxi trim DA's. They both come with either carberated or FI SOHC ZC motors. So I figured since I had the block, might wanna give that a try. I haven't seen anyone with a SOHC in their DA's before except one person on here. I scored a Z6 head and started tearing it down to send owt.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/nucksda32/2888623817/Everything is bagged and tagged. Now time to disassemble the block.

So is there really any point to you putting the single cam in besides it's JDM? Just curious? Don't take offense to the question . . .

Thats kinda like asking if there is a point to swapping a B series into an EG hatch.. just something he wants to do.. No real point. Theres no real point in modifying any vehicle its just what people want to do. Me im all for modifying cars its fun and the sigle cam DA is somethnig i have NEVER seen before so mega props to Nuck for doing it. Now he can use my line when people come up to me and try to rev their engines .. Them.--"what you got in there" ... Me--- "single" Thumbsuppp mannnn good stuff

So whats wrong with the stock motor? And what are your plans with the D16, because you will be loosing some torque goin from a 1.8 to 1.6? I had a JDM 2nd gen b16, sold it and got a GSR short block and difference in torque was definately noticeable. I will never use or swap a 1.6 motor into any car again unless its a hatchback, or track stripped car. Thats just my opinion. Good luck with ur project, it looks like alotta fun.....

I was'nt trying to disrespect the OP . . . But if it's just being done for the JDM factor then thats really kidna pointless IMO. . . O well bump for your build . . G/L with it . . .
