Default My JDM DC2

I've been a lurking member on here for some time and never thought to stick my build thread up....

well here's some of it

My DC2

Thought I'd put together a bit of a build up thread.
I've always just started new threads when i do things to the car so since everyone else has done it this
way i'd join in!

I saw the car for sale about 2 and a half years ago. loved it straight away, pushed all the buttons for what i was after. subtle mods with wheels, suspension and exhaust.
The car was in scotland so a viewing was pretty difficult, fortunately myself and colin the previous owner were both going to JAE. Had a look round the car and decided i wanted it. A week later i got a lift to Fife and it was mine.

Advert pics

At home Shortly after picking it up

first attempt at a shoot, with curtis

then i managed to swap my old car

for a 98spec so the drive looked like this

i later sold on the 98 and decided to keep my 96. no idea why just preferred it for some strange reason.
guess we had a history lol

a few mods included a airbrushed rocker cover, magnecor leads, pjdm cooling plate, spoon dress up parts etc

had some more attemps at shoots with Curtis and OnlyOneMikey!

a memoryfab carbon seat

takata harness

then decided that less is more

new coilovers and exhaust

a couple of trips to the nurburgring along the way

Carl has given her a good clean!

i've probably missed out lots along the way but enjoy.

c&c's always welcome.

i fitted my new seat

plans for the future include front and rear bumper respray with n1 style vents moulded in and some de stickering and possibly a wheel refurb in a deep red

took a few pics on friday after a quick sponge over for JDM Allstars (pics to follow when i'm not as tired) but for now the bumper vents i bought from Chris months ago are now fitted and that tatty old J'sRacing sticker off the rear bumper has been replaced with fresh paint.

i know it won't be to most peoples taste but its function over form.....need to transport the bikes easier.....

new strut braces.

cusco and mugen

couple more updates

cage in

the 96 revs up quicker so feels a bit quicker but that could be because the 98 spec still had its cat in place

yeah... i have driven a few and am lookin to get one soon only i dont like the gears in the 98 spec... 4th seems really slugish! would prefer to pick up a newer dc2 but think i will stick with a 96 or 97. your right about the cat tho, makes ahuge difference.
