The narrative that no one cares about:

This build will be started due to the failure of a rod bearing, motor was still salvageable, wish I could say the same for the crank.
Will not be doing a crazy build or nun like that, simple and clean, no need to blow 10k.
So with that being said subscribe, check back frequently and feel free to give input, and/or criticism. Sit back and enjoy my work.

Soon after the teardown I made my decision to go through with the build, brainstormed with my tuner on what setup would suit my goal in power level and started searching for the parts I needed. Came across a deal I couldnt refuse!!

JE 86.5mm pistons 10:5:1 compression ratio
JE wristpins
Eagle H-beam rods ARP rodbolts
ACL STD thrust washers

you may have to hone the "bushings" on the eagle connecting rods to fit the JE wrist pin in. I had to do this on my build because for whatever reason eagle keeps them at stock wrist pin bore so you can re-use your stock wrist pins....dumbest thing ever imo, but my machine shop did it for $20

well these pistons are custom and the wrist pins are made to spec with these rods.

Not too long ago a pretty important package made its way to my hands, after being lost for 48 hours at the local UPS facility after a 5 day journey from its origin.
More power calls for heavier duty clutch system.

Nice upgrade from my previous CompClutch stage 4 system :giggity:

Shortly after I got in contact with Ryan from AFH and he had in stock 2 GE turbo manifolds, no need for the 3-4 month wait from manufacturer. What a great opportunity to upgrade the old RBC and upgrade, not to mention he gave me a killer deal on it.
Great customer service I received from AutoFair Honda and he will now be supplying me with a bunch of parts ima need for the build, highly recommend him for any needs no matter how small nor big the order might be, he got it!!
Went ahead and threw on my fuel rail and Aeromotive A1000 fuel pressure regulator, getting ready for that fuel system. Will need new injectors and throttle body soon.

Got the call i been waiting for, machine shop was done and ready to give back my stuff.
The shop met my expectations and had a fast turn around, would've been faster if the crank situation hadn't happened.
For any locals in need of machine work, no matter how big or small the job might be, i highly recommend them to you.

Westside Performance & Machine
9100 Emnora Ln, Houston, TX 77080
(713) 465-7996

I had them do the following:
Bore the crank .5 over
Hot tank it
Polish & balance crankshaft (with Flywheel & PP)
Resurface flywheel

Now onto the pix!!

GE oil squirter block off plugs installed
