I'm really glad to see you doing more of a restoration then just a "rebuild." I hope more people gravitate towards this as our cars become more and more aged. I have been fondling with the idea of doing much of the same on my '93 Si. I'll be watching this thread

thank you. I'm actually really excited to see the paint I chose on the car, and to drive it out of the garage for the first time.

I have a couple updates for everyone. As of right now, the color is picked and the car is getting sprayed this coming tuesday. I'm extremely excited. :D:D

I started off the day at Level 7 loading up all my interior pieces into my beater for two reasons. One was to get them out of the way and out of the shop, the other to give every piece a good cleaning before going back into the hatch

After that was done, we started work on the bay. Have fun finding those spot welds

after that the car was pushed into the booth for primer

then came the etch primer!

then the primer!

then we called it a day.

Looking good, man. I'm still waiting on the taillights but I'll get them off the donor car and on the way back to you ASAP!

Wow. Nice build sir! Buying any previously modified car is a complete crap shoot. Way to do things proper and with oem goodness!

Wow terrible condition to start, BUT awesome job so far, I love saving cars from hell. Although it is quite stressful to see stupidity at its best!! Keep up the good work.

so the car has been primed. I wasn't there but did manage to get ahold of one picture of it in with etch primer on it.

Look into a greddy sp2 elite... It's around the same price, sounds throaty,no rasp, but not loud enough that you cant carry on a conversation in the car.
