NICE! I am going through the same thing

I got most of the interior parts, working on suspension right now. Won some JDM folding mirrors yesterday on Ebay...so the project is coming along.

I chose not to copy a 96/97/98 to the T, but rather a combination of the best parts (IMHO) that came out for the DB6/8.

How do you like the Mugen Twin Loop?

Did you notice any significant increase in HP or have you dyno'd it?

How does it sound (clips?)

I've heard this mugen twin loop on April's current LS motor and i have one for my Civic SiR

on both they are overall quite quiet. My favourite all time exhaust. It has a deeper tone on the LS but thats expected. When in VTEC hardly hear much from the exhaust, mostly VTEC from the intake. If you have the full cat back like on April's car, the resonator is way too big so restricts u from how much u can lower the car. I have the T1R midpipe and keeps it very quiet still and tucks it up under the car very nicely.

As for power, generally you cant look at getting too much of a gain compared to the big straight through exhausts. one must remember that its not exactly a 2.5" exhaust. If full power gains is not what ur after and u want a sweet sounding not loud exhaust, this is where u wanna look towards. But if u do, save and find a good condition one...hard do find. I believe there is a new one for db8s on Ebay. Dont remember how much its going for. Am I right Baby Boi?

^ Awesome info.

Yes, I am going for the more conservative sound to keep away the 50 here in the bay area. Putting in consideration that I will be doing the JDM tranny with all those high quick revs; I dont want the exhaust too loud on the streets.

I have been pulled over way too many times becuase of an exhaust & it just gets too old for me.

Has anyone used this exhaust with a turbo kit? Yet another mod I am debating on for the furture.

I wouldnt suggest using the Mugen Twin Loop if ur planning on a turbo...generally u want least amount of resonators and larger piping for turbo...the mugen twin loop is slightly smaller than 2.5" and the loop design does not help the flwo for turbos. Spool would be horrible compared to other exhausts.

I would suggest it as a great everyday driving exhaust w/o the intensions for high horsepower...its good for moderate building. But thats what im going for and i just love the look and sound of it. Oh and if u do get one i suggest finding a JDM tip. the USDM tip looks horrible.

haha your living room looks exactly like my bedroom, i just didnt buy the doors.

doors are usually readily available, but shipping is overkill on them!

build looks good.
