D16Z6 HEAD BUILD PROBLEMS
I just finished a D16Z6 head build using Supertech exhaust valves, Brian Crower intake valves, Brian single springs and retainers, and SpeedFactory valve stem seals.
The problem I’m having is that when the car starts up, it burns a lot of oil. I also found oil inside the #4 exhaust header port, and it produces a lot of white smoke even though I installed a brand-new head gasket.
I performed a compression test, and all four cylinders read between 180–190 psi.
What do you guys think could be causing this? Could it be the valve stem seals, or did the timing belt skip a tooth?
