im not a " i like to take 200 pictures a day of my car"
thank goodness i might say.
any ways i have a plan to redo my trunk which has seen many many miles ( 545,000 + )
so my plan, make a custom type trunk.
why? my carpet is full of dirt, hair glass(i think) grass ( ahem).
last night i decided to take that crappy old cardboard out and burn it ( it was ripped torn and cut a bit) then i got thinking that a sub would be nice. yea so i decided to pick up 4 MTX Thunder 12" subs this morning with 2 MTX thunder amps. Yea i think im a little nuts...
so what else? gotta find a capacator... i know that + some speakers and a deck ( no idea on one yet)
So plans. i got some 1/4 plywood last night and got drawing to figure out what i am able to do. well i ended up making a square piece and decided what the hell might as well fiberglass it smooth to see what i can get. im now thinking 1/4 may be too small for the bottom.
so my rough rough outline. make the strut towers into a half box,(1/4" plywood) go across the backseat ( ahem leaving the seat in though) to have the subs facing towards the seat to pound into the interior leaving the back to be filled in with a removeable hatch(1/2" plywood to stand the bumpin ). then have one more into the spare tire wheel hole to pound the trunk to pieces(1/4" plywood). well i was having a problem with amps where would i put them? well i had no idea but i was thinking to get more plywood to mold them between the strut tower and where the taillights go ( the empty gap) but also remembering where the trunk hinges close too.
yea am i crazy? no not at all. all show before go you problaly say.
Don't worry, the car is getting a B18C1 with tokico strut and spring package with skunk 2 camber kit. wheels are SIR blades and the car is red.
anybody else plan something crazy like this before? its not that hard i would say. just time consuming.
