First off, I just turned nineteen and i am a full time student, so don't expect to much out of me haha. All work is done by me.

Over the summer, I saw this black 1987 civic Si on Craigslist and i had to buy it. Ran fine for ... first 20minutes and it started to over heat blah blah. So i decided to do a Mid engine rwd swap, which i was interested in for a long time. It has been really slow due to my other car project, and now that i am going to school and working, there is really no time. I have not done much to it for awhile and i thought this thread will give me some motivation!! to continue the project. Also, comments to make this car a better one.

At first, i intended to use eg frame, and i did. However, i made bad measurements and center was off so i had to cut it back out. I dont know where all my pictures went.. but here is what i have for now.






This is after i took the eg frame out and made my own frame.

I will get more pictures. Currently i have a single cam mounted up and got all the engine mount figured out. Wiring is gonna suck... Have not choosen a motor to go in yet. H series or K series would make more sense, since it already has cable shifter. Price is the matter..

Dont see too many people attempt this kind of stuff. Props to you. Custom weld work is always fun, my cousin just got done turning his Isuzu moving truck into a dump truck by building his own custom bed. Cant wait to see more of your project.

little update.. i am trying to cover all the holes and gaps under the car before i start doing anything else. Welding upside down is pain in the ***.

im about 20 to 25 mins up north of seattle. and yea.. i having a hard time haha. I was working on it last night and i decided to redo my frame by the middle of the car to make the stress points stronger and i need to get better at welding thinner metals not to burn through them.

 

Old coupe was clean!
