Default 94 integra de-rice build

Hi everyone My name is Denis and i resently i moved from hamilton On, Canada to Rochester NY for school i my self drive a 2004 Suzuki Swift+S, chevy aveo5 LT for you US guys. Any ways my class mate from Cali is also new to the city, and was lookinging for a car for around 1000$ to last him 1 year because he has old camry in cali thats worth less then the price to ship in from cali to NY. Me being a car nut i inved him out last sunday night to the local tuner meet/ street racing hangout. after looking at dif cars he said he would love to get in to the tuner scene. so what i did was find him a riced out 94 acura integra RS with a 5 speed and b18b1 engine with 233 000 miles for 1300$. so now we are gona put 700$ in to it and drive the **** out of it.

he can't drive stick, knows nothing about cars, and is not mechanicly skilled. so i will be doing most of the work. but here is the catch when he leaves for cali next year im geting his car for around 500$ depanding how much he invests in to it and in what condition it is when time comes. the car has an ugly front body kit, **** paint job with no clear coat, white graphics and stupied stickers, painted interiour pieces in white, no cd player, short ram intake, header, and full brand new aftermarket exhaust.

so i will be de-ricing this baby, any sugestions

first thing we did was rip off all the stikers and graphics, and gutted the inside

the struts that hold up the hatch are dead (what replcements ones are out there ie size)

now for the rust, its real bad, and was repaired with ducktape and bondo (i don't know how bad it is untill i rip all that crap out)

the car needs all new weatherstripping, anyone know how much that will run from the dealer?

Do you guys think this car is worth 1300 that we payed for it?

Next on the to do list is to fix that exhaust. When I drove the car I though to my self is this thing running a streigh pipe, but the exhaust seems fine. Took a closer look and the from what I can see with out geting under the car the past owner put spacers on the exhast bolts between the header and the rest of the exhaust lmfao creating a huge leak

No, not for your budget anyway. The new weatherstripping you want will run you almost as much as what you paid for the car, if you buy everything.

Definitely not. The holes on the roll pan are extremely large. I'd say $300 is the most I would pay for a car that far gone.

With the car that rusted, an accident could prove fatal. Most of the side impact zones have severe corrosion by the looks of it.

Maybe focus on ditching the "ricey" wheels on the Suzuki, and put effort into making it a more desirable car.

I knew that was coming all the mods I made to the Suzuki were back when I was 17 so the choices were not very smart. It's my daily driver looks/SQ audio car. I'm ether gona end up with this integra or will get an eg hatch or miata for tuner toy.

As soon as the teg is on the road I will tear in to the rust to see how bad it is caz I get the feeling that this is just a tip of an iceberg

Jeeze, that piece of junk is only worth $500 at the most. lol I could get a rolling, starting, rust free integra for ~$650. Good luck with your de-riceing and getting rid of that rusted bodywork.

so what would be the best way to tackle this rust? remove all the lose rusted metal, bondo and ducttape, and weld on new sheet metal? (just hypotheticly)?

tomorow my buddy is going to the DMV and registering the car, and if we have time we will take care of the exhaust system

also, found front bumper with turn signals for 45$
