WEll short story short, it all started out with my dsm, it didnt like 27psi and it decided to take a crap on me.

Yes, my turbo has come scarring on the fins, but still spools fine.. so im not worried about it

so i bought my first honda .

Its a 91 integra DA with a XSi swap, no lsd. Fiddling around one day i realised i had enough money and parts to make this thing turbo charged. After taking my gt35r i had from my dsm, i put together a really cheap, effective turbo kit-

(*notice the track number on windsheild, ran 13.1 spinning on 9-10 psi)

put a act oem disc with HD pressure plate
ebay coil overs
450s
vafc2
PR3 chipped for 9000 redline
boost guages
ssac mani
turbosmart 38
home made 3" pie cut DP/ehxaust
dsm piping, bov
aem FPR.
This is my DSM side mount/SABB/HOMEDEPOT piping .. hey it worked and made 385 on 17 psi with methanol injection. no here.

And after about 1k of driving miles boosted, the stock mounts litterly fell apart, the rear mount, well it didnt exist any more. So i bought some avid mounts from a local speed shop, nice and tight.

Ok, so i noticed alot of smoke coming out of the valve cover vent one day, did a compression check and had horrble compression in two cyclinders(1, 4).

AS i should have stopped driving it, i didnt.

I was approaching on a pack of 350z's, i talked to the guy and it was a poker run. So with me having a really old integra vs his sc'd 350z, i gave it a run.

1st and second spun immedatly, feathering it, he pulled, 3rd snatched and im pulling my ground back and pass him, then shut down. Put the cluch in and hear metal on metal.. thought wtf happened.. It wouldbuck and kick back hard... took the tranny out to find that i had ripped the face off my clutch.

i said [freak].

I started pulling my motor pretty much same day because i knew it needed to be rebuilt/replaced.

Basically took out the b16 and got my new motor the following week-I boguht a complete-ish LS from the local crack head down the street and new flywheel and clutch setup-

And with the b16 coming out, i took some more **** out with it- AC, PS, ALL related lines, fittings, plastic grommets.. and cleaned the bay while i was at it. I waxed parts i could easily get to, cleaned up nice. Sorry no pics again.

So now on in my story

With my ls motor, my b16, i did the usual.. a ls vtec.

throwing away ls ****.

With money i had, i decieded to do a nice build

I bought the GE LSvtec kit, crower rods, wiseco pistons, JG intake manifold, GSR cams, all arp hardware, ACL bearings,70 mm TB, 880s injectors, new timing belt bla all gaskets.

pics-

*notice how i have my block vented for my catch can setup*

MF FACTORY FTW-

Final Bolt before wrapping her up to take home(i work at a shop at this point, didnt in the beginning)

With this being my first motor built, i did everything in the book. I must say it was a expierence and now i dont have to pay people to build them!.

But now the motor is together, i relax and stop working on it for a while.. I really dont know why.

But at this point, from the time i got it, its been 6 months in the story. Not working on it and not having a car, well i scopped this car up for 8k.

99 em1 with a CTR swap- 69k miles.

After my girl yelling at me, i started working on it again. DOnt know why i waited, just was busy from work and school.

Ok so its back in the car!!.. first step. still with shitty ic pipe with DSM side mount.

Got these in the mail

still havent installed them

But i did put it on the dyno at my work and tried to tune it... FAIL with a AFC..

So i orderd a obd1 harness, chipped ecu for crome and obd1 dizzy. And while i was at it i bought a blaster cap/coil.

After wiring it all in, i looked at my car and noticed how shitty my piping was, funny how i just now had a problem with it.

After a week of waiting, my stuff comes in, sorry for shitty cell phone pic.
(its all mounted and buttoned up now)

And becuase i get nitrous for cheap, i bought this also, DEI cryo kit. I doubt how much it works, but i will give it a try, then convert it to a nitrous kit.

But this is where i will leave you untill i get it on the dyno for tuning. With my setup id hope for close to 500 on stock sleeves. And So far on my motor with around 600 miles, its been touble free.

Re: (nicks-eg6)
finished my intercooler stup today-
procharger IC off a nissan 350z kit.. i picked this one becuase my piping is much shorter than most DA turbo owners.

its a little off center(well alot) but it works good enough. this isnt a show car by any means.

Re: 91 DA turbo build (turbociv910)
i weighed my car today.,. thought it would be a 200lbs heavier:evilgrin1

BOV of choice- Turbonetics Raptor- sounds great.

Sandblasted it-

and ofcourse, no installed pics.

And i found out, with me in my car, 2440, i STILL weigh less than this pro 4 integra-

without the driver
