After looking for ever to find a factory black EK hatch I finally found this "thing"

I have been working on Hondas since I was 16, had a CRX 2 other EK hatches. LS swap Ek and GSR Swap EK. Had to get out of cars for the last 3.5-4 years and finally am in a spot to start a new project. Here is the old car from 4 years ago.

99 Hatch with GSR motor. Black TE's etc. Funnest car I ever owned. Now I got to see if I can do better. Also im pretty sure it is not the candy pink endless projects EK. haha. Just happy to see its still alive.


Got it home and started cleaning it to find a nice little sack of weed in it. Now most people find that funny, but I am in the process of becoming a Police Officer and had I got stopped in my hatch that smells like weed, then they found weed my life would be just about ruined right now lol.

Pros. Clean Title
Every Fender, door, hatch, hood, bumper still has Vins on it and is stock.
Interior is pretty scratch free.
AC Blows like a Champion and tires are brand new.
Never swapped Motor is completey untouched.
price cheaper then cheap

Cons. 226k on it.
Filthy! Smells like Cigs and Weed
Driver window completey out of alignment
Scratches just about everywhere.
CD Player and some wack amp wired directly to the battery.
Cheap alarm that wont shut up.
Some junk axle back that is killing me
Rear 3 windows have nice purple tint I will get to remove + passanger tint was
removed but has a nice layer of glue on it!
worst lowering springs in the world.












If you cant fix it, Duck it i guess

Great little tool I got when I went to get some cleaner. Brush/Rubber tip for detailing tight spots

I usually dont post what i paid for stuff on H-T because someone always has to run their mouth about how someone got ripped off, or how they could have gotten a better deal haha. But it was 1400 bucks.

So if it smells like weed in the car and you're concerned about getting pulled over and a cop smelling it, then why did you willingly drive it?

EDIT: I mean if it smells like weed then you would have noticed it when you got in the car before the purchase. At least I hope you got in it before you bought it.

Oh ya I drove it before I bought it. The Weed smell was no where near as bad when i picked it up. But where i live it got alot hotter today and the heat really brings out the smell. Plus this time of year my alergies are so bad i dont smell much. Im hoping New Carpet and all new seats will fix the smell for the most part.

Plans for now are to get it to the Body shop within a few weeks. Sprayed a fresh coat of black. With the basick CTR lips, moldings and wing. Once its back from the paint shop I hoep to start on the 5 lug and start looking for a USDM R motor.

to Honda. I missed these hatches so much. I have owned so many cars including 350Z, 02 2500 Chevy crew cab lifted on 37's. Dodge Magnum, and out of all of em I miss my EK hatches haha. Hope to buy another 2500 chevy to DD in 4-6 weeks

 

So I have to ask... what did you do with the weed? lol. Looks like a nice base car

 

good find. I just picked up a 95 VX mine was a bit more pricey though. Keep us updated

Anyone need the seats out of em? Driver seat has a tear but im gonna be pulling all theat stuff out soon anyways.

Parts list I need as of right now is.

Stock Civic Suspension. Springs/Shocks.
Stock EK axle back.
and some black 99-00 SI Side skirts would be great.
