FD times 4th gear ratio- or run the dyno and change the ratio in real time while watching the rpm readout on the laptop. As long as the ratio is close it has very little effect on the numbers.

Thanks for taking the time to post your graphs and followup. This will be useful in the future.

The pro 3 cam is too much cam for that motor setup. The difference between the two shown on the dyno graph is hardly anything and the differences between the two should be a lot greater with what we've seen. The pro 2 is the ideal cam for that motor.

That seems to be the case. I am very, very happy with the performance of these cams

I used to run Toda D's on motors that were not quite as well put together as my more recent engines. I have tuned a few customers cars with them. They are good cams and make great top end power.

They will work. You just need to have plenty of piston to valve clearance to run them. The Pro 2's might be a better choice.

Ported head? valve job? what kind of intake manifold and header are your running? The pro 3's move a lot of air and the rest of the motor has to be able keep up. Lots of compression will help as well

What about a 2.1 L motor with 12.3 cr making 243whp on a set of Toda C's? Do you think the Pro 3's could give such a motor a good boost in power?

Based on your compression, I'd suspect that pro2's might net you some top end gains over your current setup.....

I think so too, but I'm kinda wondering what a set of Pro 3's might do on my setup.

Pondus, give me a call at the shop here, (951) 808-9888 and ask for Tony. I'd like to talk you a little more about your setup and help you out if I could.

I don't think your static c/r is high enough to make power with the pro3's..... your motor also REALLY needs to flow a lot of air to be able to take advantage of them.

hey are the drops during vtec x-over because vtec is set too low or is it always going to be there. i don't know anything about tuning but just wondering if there is anything you can do to not have that drop.

The dips are not at the VTEC transition and are due to intake/header combination.
