never really looked into these velocity stacks but on bpi website they have some dyno sheets and on the b18c1 it showed a decent gain on both CAI and SRI, thanks for the info so far everyone! still undecided lol! Gonna do some more diggin'

Didn't take a brain surgeon to figure out its a daily by the way your talking

I smell a redlight racer

Dick around? 2 hose clamps and a bolt? Sounds pretty damn lazy. What's your engine worth to you?

Theres always someone who wants to get in a pissin' contest... gotta call names and non sense... i can say dickheaded stuff too like "i smell your girls juices on my fingers" but i dont say things like that because i'm here for info not to get **** advice and argue with people. driven on the weekdays raced on the weekends, and "whats my motor worth to me" thats exactly why i started this topic, because its worth something to me. Skip along to the next topic if you dont have any real advice or experience to share.

Just buy the AEM 3 inch and be done with it. All this arguing over a simple question that could have been answered with 5-10 minutes of searching.

I'm not starting a pissing match I'm stating the obvious.

2 hose clamps and a bolt to save your engine from hydrolock.

Which I've never experienced, why? Because I'm not lazy enough to take off a couple things to save my engine.

Use the cai when needed. Plain and waaaaay more simple than your making it out to be

Take it as u please

you gotta give it up dude. Getting info from here and then looking at product websites, looking up dyno charts, reading customer reviews, comparing prices, you know research. laughing at yourself i hope with all these stupid comments of yours. **** off bud.

Lol people can't take criticism
To take off TWO HOSE CLAMPS AND A BOLT or suck up some water? How hard of a decision is that?

Doesn't take a know it all to switch a damn intake

to an extent. i know you wouldn't be able to get a proper tuned length without actual tuning/dyno, which would entail more money. but its a start.

idk or much care when it comes to CAI vs SRI. it would in the end seem to be a very minimal difference. just louder and where it draws the air from.

N/A I know what you meant, you were just a dick about it, no biggy. lol. I talked to the guy who originally built and sold me the car (lost his number til last night finally), he was a master tech for Honda for a number of years and now he is working for Kia but still builds Hondas, he said the way my car is tuned and with everything on it it wouldn't be a huge difference. A few hp in the higher rpm's. He built the car and did the swap, tuned it, etc, so kinda at a loss here. He said I'd see more of a difference getting rid of the MSD blaster cap system since it ain't boosted and going back to stock GSR dizzy than going from AEM shorty to CAI. lol. It's all good, I'm going to run with it for a little and try to get into a dyno, they are few and far between in CNY.

Keep a screwdriver in the car and unbolt the intake from the throttle body when its about to rain.

I'm sick and tired of this hydrolocking myth. I've driven an old-style AEM CAI all over the country in all kinds of conditions and never had trouble. You'd have to be an idiot to drive into the kind of puddle that could hydrolock a CAI (it has to be fully submerged or water won't make it all the way up the piping). The only problem I could see would be for people without splash guards. The V2 is hydrolock-proof anyways.
