It all depends on the dyno... your combination of parts can certainly reach the target that you have set... and it will do it much easier if you get the cylinder head CNC'd. As for focusing on 9K+ RPM operation... no amount of $$$ spent makes it safe to rev that high. You will not make power that high... just reduce the life of the engine every time you go there. Trust me, the engine will be more powerful everywhere (and live a lot longer) and more enjoyable to drive if you make the target power down around 8K RPM. The only think you will be missing is the sexy sound of that high revving 9K engine peak... and 8K doesn't sound bad.

I am confident that you will make peak power with your engine combination BEFORE 9K RPM... likely, closer to 8K RPM. I am not sure what you mean by "pretty functional", so I cannot respond to that statement. I must say, you did catch me a bit off guard on your last response. Now, I am not sure if you came on here and posted just to gloat or if you genuinely were reaching out to confirm your parts choices to attain your performance goals. I offered some support of your endeavor and some specifics to be cautious about... and the last I checked, over 60 members have "looked" at your thread, yet it is just you and me talking.

Then again, what do I know. I am just an old guy typing on a Forum late at night... take my opinion with a grain of salt. Good luck.
