GSXR Throttle Bodies (a thread continuation)

The 2000-2003 GSXR 750 throttle bodies measure 50 mm (may be 49.5 mm) at the inlet and 42 mm at the outlet. These are the same dimensions as the GSXR 1000 throttle bodies. I measured my throttle bodies. They are stamped with code 35F0. Check these links for the GSXR 1000:

I havent read all of the other post yet...but i have a few questions. First of all...what would be the benefits of having shorter/longer runners with ITB's? It seems like shorter would give you better throttle response...but im not sure if longer ones would have that much if any benefit. Also, how do you figure out what size ITB's youll need? Thanks

here's one of the runners thats done, i filled in the injector hole as u can see by this pic.

Those velocity stacks are quite nice. Where did you find them? Have you check for brake booster clearance? |

not yet.. but when i had the ITB's in my engine bay, i think it was ok..
here's the guys email address i got them from (was waiting from email from him befor i posted) FASTLISLE@aol.com he has them made locally.. he gets them in 3 sizes.. 1-7/8....2-1/8 and the 2-1/2 sizes.. and has a large supply of each size.. the 2.1/8" stacks fit perfect on the gsxr 1000 itbs. (at least they do on mine) |

i bought mine off Ebay for $115 shipped.. they normally go for around 150 or so from what i've been seeing.. i guess it depends on if u get lucky or not as to how much you'll end up paying.

i'm currently working on my fuel rail (custom) i'll post pics when its done.. its gonna have 6-AN end welded on it and a custom plate on the other end for my B&M FPR to mount.. also working on the throttle cable bracket.. and figuring a way to put an adjustable throttle stop so they only open to where they're supposed to.. right now they go way past WOT. |

1)will you make more hp then if you had a ported mani and a 70mm tb w/ a cai? 2)whats the average gains doing this? 3)do you have to tune it if you do thid itb's? 4)can i use a aem or any aftermarket fuel rail with a fpr? 5)has anyone tried this in a 90-93 integra? because the motor sits farther back towards the firewall. 6)does it sound alot louder then a cai? 7)has anyone tried it on a non-vtec motor? 8)does anyone have pics of this done on a 90-93 integra with or with obd-0?i whant to see how the sencors,ect. are hooked up. |
im going to be useing 02-03 954 throttle bodies becuase i can not find any gsxr 750 or 1000. do anyone think the 954 will work? and does anyone know how big they are?

is that the stock fuel rail that came with the itbs or did you make that like you said you would. and it is one of the cleanest pieces of itbs ive seen. good job man.

A: from my research, i've learned that ITBs will give you gread midrange power(torque) and good top end... a ported mani and 70mm TB would probably make more peak whp.. but midrange.. ITBs rule (My opinion) 2)whats the average gains doing this? A: i dont know personally, i saw Jeff from HMT get 152 whp with his diy itbs on a stock b16 which normally puts down about 134 whp (2 different stock b16's i've seen dyno'd) 3)do you have to tune it if you do thid itb's? A: yes it actually will most likely take more tuning than a single TB 4)can i use a aem or any aftermarket fuel rail with a fpr? A: depends on your fuel injector spacing.. i had to custom make my fuel rail (bought fuel rail extrusion and drilled holes and welded ends on it) 5)has anyone tried this in a 90-93 integra? because the motor sits farther back towards the firewall.
