Default compression help

wuts ht i need some advice. i might purchase this gsr block off a friend. he tells me the its a lightened crank eagle rods and 12:1 pistons. im planing on putting a stock gsr head on it wit s2 intake mani. Im worried the compression might be too high for daily driving and i wont be able to tune right away. my question is, can i run the motor with that compression daily on 93 oct? can i lower compression wit multy layer head gasket? will i damage the motor without a tune right away? Oh and im using a stock p72 ecu till im ready to tune. id appreciate any help or coments

12:1 can work with 93 octane pump gas and a good tune. If you want to drop it a bit just to be safe, you can to with a thicker head gasket, but you don't have to.
