to me its value is what you can get out of it. I got my cash and I got it quick.

Try to sell that header to people who are aware of the value, see what they'll give you. That will tell you if it holds value or not, lol not selling it to some oblivious idiot.

If they don't want to and another company does, so be it. The fact remains that if they sold there products at a more competitive price companies like blox and others would not even exist. It's called supply and demand people get ****ing used to it.

If you took how much money these companies have spent on "R&D" and take how much pure profit they have made overcharging for there items, I guarantee the difference would be huge.

Everyone likes to be paid more for less, They can have less production space, demands and costs and still make a mint as long as they keep bullshitting the people in the industry. It all marketing.... Dollars and cents is all that matters.
Jeez, cut you a deal? wtf have you done for them? I love it when johnny nobody trying to discount the manufacturers like they owe you something. "companies like blox" wtf. they wouldn't have a product line if it weren't for the original companies. I'm sure you know how much money it takes to pay employees to make test manifolds, pay for materials, flow bench, dyno time, manufacturing plans, everything involved. yeah, prolly pretty cheap. "supply and demand" blah blah blah, marketing 101 everybody took in high school, bringing the word. ya know when they make chinese sleeved blocks, you guys gonna be all up on that ****. my crank doesn't spin, i got piston slap, i cracked sleeves, i split my block in half. maybe people should be building r/c cars or somethin if you bitch about a header. try motocross, where you pay a grand for a mass produced single cylinder header with carbon muffler. guess those bitches rippin everybody off too.

How are you guys comparing headers to clothes or wheels? The copying of a wheel doesn't really hurt the advancement of the sport, does it? The copying of a header does. At least that's my point of view. I WANT these companies that put r&d into their products to continue doing so just so I can reap the benefits. I want there to be advancement in performance parts. Without all that hard work and advancement, we'd still be stuck running afc's, check valves and fmu's.

I'm all about doing things right the first time, but lets be real here. I built a NA 1.8L utilizing a narrow rep and made great power for a simple built 1.8L.

I couldn't justify the price of a $1000 header for a Daily Driven street car.

I mean who in there right mind would spend $1000 for a custom header for a 1.8L when I knew I was eventually going to want to do a 2.0L build, so now the header custom made to my 1.8L wouldn't be optimal anymore, so I'd have to shell out another $1000, and try to get as much back for the header I paid $1000 for not even a year ago.

Now granted if I was building a race car, and then of course I wouldn't mind spending $1000 for a header for the simple reason is I'd be going all out to begin with.

Hell I've been contemplating a real Bisi header for my 2.0L build, but I'd love to see more testing before I do that.

PS. Everybody wants to mention All Motor well All Motor sold his real Hytech, bought a narrow rep, and said the narrow rep made more power than his real hytech.

PPS. You want to talk about quality, well how many issues did people use to have with real rmfs breaking, and I've read more than one instance of a real bisi header breaking. I've had the narrow rep on my car almost a year now with no flex pipe, and no issues.

Haters, lovers, and angry economists.........

I have 2 things to say on the topic.

#1. I just had sloppy buffalo wings for dinner earlier and i fully regret buying costco brand Charmin replica toilet paper.

#2. I have a replica bisi header on the way. This weekend im devoting a ton of testing time to one of my 2.0 bseries setups. Its going to be a manifold battle royale.

On this weekends line-up are......

SMSP b19
Oldie but goodie ProFab SMSP copy
Toda
Bisimoto china copy

All tested on a 250+whp daily driven 85x89 setup.

I sold it, because with that money i made, i bought a performerX manifold that i needed and was testing the header.. on my ITR, the RMF replica made more then the hytech, i dont think i had enough motor for the hytech header..

Now on my b20vtec..it was way too small..period.

RMF replicas are different.. randy isn't around anymore and there are not any "real" RMF for sale.. kidd offered a header that wasn't made anymore.. so technically, it was just a reproduction of a major demand header.

With that said.. if this header was a exact replica i'd be like ok.. something new.. no big deal..but its not.. the bends on 1 and 4 are pointy, instead of smooth, his merge / collector setup isn't the same as bisi neither..mine flares he also isn't stepping his piping on his primaries..another thing MINE has...

point i'm trying to make is.

- nobody cares what bills you have..nobody
- people always think making power is cheap.
- anything cheap eventually is going to break.

I got rid of my rmf replica.. it was too small for my big motor. I also had to reweld it myself a few times to make it hold together.. the screws it came with kept falling out so i just made it permanent..

mikey's going to beat me to the test, but i just know that if you're going to replicate something, as least do it right..
I understand people wanting to save a buck..i agree replica's are good for one thing, and thats making major companies stay competitive with pricing.

I don't think we need yet another one of these threads.
