b20 vtec build need to do research
I have bought a b20 block and a b18c5 head with no cams, springs and needs new valves. I was wondering if anyone can give me some info on the build. Also what cams are good and intakes also. I have a lot of questions about the build

Re: b20 vtec build need to do research
Should b fine. Depending how much power u want. U want more power then bore it out. 82mm is the max to bore, more than that then I recommend aftermarket sleeves.

Re: b20 vtec build need to do research
Okay well I've googled it and haven't found anything on it but what are your inputs on locking in vtec

Yes a b20 is 84mm but the sleeves are weak depending how much power he wants to push, he won't b pushing much power with thin sleeves. I was just sayin since he hasn't mention how much power he wants out of it, that 82mm with 350-400whp is the limit for dd, better b a damn good ass tuner to hold up those sleeves. B20 sleeves are thin and like the max I would go on them are 300-350whp depending on a good ass tune. But I don't know how much power a b20 sleeves can hold. Just my opinion for a dd

And if u read my last couple sentence I said I didn't know how much horsepower a stock b20 sleeves holds. SORRY gUYS I FOrGoT THIS WAS A b20V lOl. I had mind on b18. Sorry again guys. |

Either you're 12 years old, or you are from a different country. Which is it?
I've given plenty of "advice" over these past 10 years on here...thanks. |

No I didn't say that. I was say on a b18 motor 82mm bore would b the max to bore out. I didn't say anything about 82mm pistons in a b20 block.

Now Clean Rice is one of technical people on here and you really need to listen to what he says as he has been around for a very long time on here and has a very good knowledge base with Honda's. |
