The main reason being one of my competitors is claiming to be making 360-400hp and I was interested if anyone thinks its possible?? or is he just talking his motor up?</TD></TR></TABLE>
back to the original question. yes 300WHP is attainable on H22s. since the scene is fairly new over on ur side of the ocean i would say that this guy is just talkin up his motor.
just as in every motorsport ppl love to brag up something they know nothin about.
even aside from the track i hear these huge HP cars that for some reason never make it to the track, never beat anyone fast or any other of 100 excuses.
take it for whats its worth, just keep lookin out for urself. if he beats u, work harder, no biggie. set urself a goal but beatin that guy is prolly goin to be easy. i think hes full of ****.

Thanks 1 2 NV... thats one of the best answers...
The guy is an engine builder, but the only H-series motor he has built breaks ever race meet and can only just match stock B18C's I doubted his ability to build a motor with that much power...
Fingers crossed I run a 10 before he does...

The best way to judge an engine builder is to look at his previous builds. Even if he can make that kind of power, it will probably blow up. You can't win the race if you don't finish the race.

what the hell is this guy talking about?? there are like 6 maybe 8 people in the pro all motor class making 300 or more whp right now. hmm 2-3 people that know how to use it?? LOL walk around the pit and i want to hear you say that.. Get your Head out of your ***.
maybe I wrong but I read something about some stroked, sleeved bored out to the max and maybe with a taller deck h series. I might be wrong but some crazy canadian shop (I think) made 3.0l h series with whole bunch of goodies. It had an ITB set up with a intake box made out of the plexiglass. Once again I seen it over a year ago and don't remember much. I think it put down over 300whp.

exactly.....the h series shelf cams SUCK for big engines....custom cams are a must....
there are plenty of 250-280whp h22s.....The Birdman's h22 build makes more than 250 on jun cams....
also, take a look at the DHR h22 dynos up on youtube or whatever....it can definitely be done

I'm going to thread jack for just a moment here because some reputable engine people are talking about h22's.
Is it safe to run type S cams on stock valvetrain in an H22?
