2.5" vs. 2.75" vs. 3" Cold air! Advice needed! (Yes, I know its been covered)
First of all, I know this has been covered but I want CURRENT advice and recommendations.
So i'm looking to get a cold air for my dc2 made. Plan is to do a mild all motor build. Currently have a powerchamber intake. What do you guys recommend as far as size? I know a lot of factors play into the size so please explain what size is good for my set up. Mod List as follows: - B18c1 "gsr" motor - Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Mani - 70mm Skunk2 Alpha TB - 2.25" Greddy 4-2-1 Header - 2.5" mid-pipe - 2.5" Spoon n1 Upcoming: - Supertech Full Valvetrain - Skunk2 Tuner 2 Cams - AEM Fuel Rail - AEM FPR - 310 or 370 Injectors - Skunk2 Alpha Header - Portmatch Mani to TB Let me know what you recommend. Thanks! |

3" pipe that is 18-24" in length seems to be a good overall setup to run. On 2L+ 3.5" seems to respond better. Get a BPi stack and filter for it and call it a day. Unless its a race motor where every .01 whp must be extracted keep it simple and go with what works.
