It says 83% the stock ones work fine, the pump can hold up to 70 lbs of rail pressure.

is this LS head B16 ported? i hear thats a common thing to do, send an LS head to a CNC machine for B16 sized ports along with B16 sized valves.

.5mm oversized ls valves, intake ports were matched to intake manifold. No guide protrusion into ports.

Sweet numbers https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

I never knew you could fab a b16 IM onto an LS head. If that's the case, why didn't he go for an ITR IM?

I think he has a type r manifold already for his head, he has a fitting welded to his head so the coolant doesn't go through the manifold and the manifold is cut off. and the type r manifold he has is already cut off.

good stuff https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

bears, what about his setup do you think is making that huge amount of torque in the midrange vs your gf's?? is it the cams?

looks good......a better header will probably give that engine more power. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

also try some 310cc injectors so you dont have to run so much fuel pressure....

Not really sure thats why i posted the comparison, both were on the same dyno and within a month of each other, i haven't seen anyone post a comparison like this, so i thought we could learn something. Both engines are 12:1, they both have b16 intake manifolds, his is a dc 4-2-1 with a 2" collector and hers is a dc 4-1 with a 2" collector. Both had tuned intake lengths, his cams are made to produce the best power in that range, her type r cams would probably work better with a better intake manifold and header, but the same could be said for his, her head is pretty much a stock b16, his head has welded chambers and good headwork. I guess the only real differance is that her engine is all STOCK parts and his is pretty much maxed out with the exception of a few bolt ons. Also they both have 2.5 inch exhaust without cats. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Well the 4-1 vs 4-2-1 definitely has some effect on the powerband. So you're using type r vtec cams in a non-vtec motor?? Thats pretty cool.

Like pure said, the type r cams were in my gf's ls-vtec, his cams were crower 404 nonvtec cams for an LS. I just wanted to compare similar builds and the ls-vtec with type r cams is what alot of people build around here.
