My car cant seem to start. It cranks but it wont start. as there is a green light at the dash. i understand it is the immobilizer. i am from asia as it wont be easy to get a replacement factory key.
Wat options do i hv?
I try pressing on the button on the key to unlock the door also n it wont open the doors. Is my door jammed? causing the immobilizer the activate. When i tried to open the door manually by putting the key. the door opens.
Wat seems to be the problem?

 

The keyless entry remote probably just needs a new battery and/or reprogrammed to the keyless entry receiver. This is unrelated to the starting problem.

If your green immobilizer light blinks constantly when you insert the key and turn it to position II ("on"), then the key is not recognized by the immobilizer system. If you only have that one key, you're SOL; you'll have to have the car towed to a Honda dealer to have the immobilizer reprogrammed with an HDS tablet.

If you have multiple keys and one works, then you'll need a dealer to cut you a new programmable T5 key and have it reprogrammed from the exiting working key.

None of the keys work. What other options r there besides towing to a dealer? because in my countries there are not dealer here as this car is from an import shop. They do not have the source to get a reprogrammed key.
I was thinking to get HONDATA K PRO installed in my ecu, will this help to remove the immobilizer and start my car?

With K Pro you can disable the immobilizer but you still need to get a key made for it and just remember the immobilizer is a pretty good theft deterrent.

 

Yeah, I don't think we should be contributing to this one. He is asking how to get the car to start without the factory immobilizer recognized key... Um no.

 

Hello my 2002 ep3 did the same thing
it was immobilizer .instead of spending money to fix it and not be sure if it would happen again.... I installed a K-tuned bypass from ktuned.com .only 4 wires easy to install. My car start and run fine now and i will not have this problem again
