My son purchased a 2003 Acura RSX type s which came with Tein coilovers.. The cars had a sound thud / banging noise from the rear when driving on uneven roads. I thought it was the rear sway bar connecting rods, which I replaced. The noise was still there. My son decided to replace the coilovers away, due to them looking old and possibly worn. He bought the same coilovers Tein, which didn't come with the top-hats so we had to transfer the ones from the old coilovers, which look OEM. After switching everything over and installing them we have the same thud/banging noise. I jacked the car up and placed a pry bar under the tire to see if I could find any worn bushings but as I lift up the tire and drop it I can hear the sound. To me it sounds like as the strut drops it makes a thud / bang sound.. I research the parts that it should have and everything is there.. I also check and double checked the tein website and per there instructions.. Any ideas what could be the issues?
